Good news, DD has just been awarded a distinction in her masters degree. She has worked hard for that. Her linked in page was updated straight away!0

I once got a set of weekday socks...but just for pairing purposes...I never bothered wearing the right sock on the right day, I promise
I got some of those for DS when he was little. He refused to wear them on the wrong days, and I never seemed to be able to find the right ones, so they barely got worn, and then he grew out of them.
Now I like the plain black or grey ones that come from Tesco or similar, that have the shoe size printed on the inside of the ankle cuff. I can pair them by the colour and font of the writing if I've time, but if we run out of pairs and end up wearing odd ones, then nobody can tell.Good news, DD has just been awarded a distinction in her masters degree. Woohoo! Well done her. :T:T:T:TDo you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Congratulations Miss hjd - very well deserved I'm sure.0

My ceramic poppy from the Tower of London arrived today! Wasn't expecting that any time soon.
A friend also got hers. I logged on to see when mine is due to be delivered, it said January-February 2015. Mine is number 150,000 roughly, so I that is about one sixth of the way through, could be a long wait if you are one of the last.

What I fancied for supper :
A glass of something dry and sparkling, with something light and nibbly.
What I had, a glass of 'safe' milk..

Its not surprising I haven't been choosing to sit on that sofa so much really. What breed is a Nylabone? Is that like a Labradoodle or one of those other new ones? I'm a bit shocked you didn't notice one of your dogs going missing TBH LIR.

I don't mind ( or didn't used to) wearing odd socks but not of different material or thickness. I prefer them to match now.
All my socks are black, M&S boys - the largest size is just right for my size 36 feet. Regular adult socks start at 37-41, which just go baggy round my feet and get uncomfortable.
I've bought them in two sets, and you can tell them apart from the writing inside the top elastic. But they pair well enough even if not 100% matched.0
