I'd like to see Interstellar at some point.
But not sure if I'm going to the cinema or wait for the blu-ray....

    :) It's a dog chewy thing.

Some of them are rather weirdly shaped.

    And dogs bizaarly love them!

Ooo, how lovely hjd, especially as they said some might not get there before January.

Only kiwi shows any interest in nylabones here, but his are just puppy ones, and normal shapes.

All my socks are the same colour - makes them easier to pair up. At one time, we had five different lots of men's socks going in the wash. Pairing them up was a significant issue. (Yes, I know, pair them up before washing them, with a clip to hold them together. Does anyone do that?)

I once got a set of weekday socks...but just for pairing purposes...I never bothered wearing the right sock on the right day, I promise :)

In this one they're doing a kitchen - they've left exposed pipes because the designer said "I like the industrial edge of that...."

Next time Mrs Wheezy is moaning about those couple of loose wall tiles at the kitchen door, I'll tell her it gives our kitchen an industrial edge, I like that.

I'm wearing my new pistachio icecream coloured socks today.

Like pn, I pair up as I hang out ( in the main). We keep a big bag ( a lidl ) bag ( worryingly) full of unmatched socks and on days when there is no possible excuse not to I turf it out and try and pair some up. Every now and again I decide its been too long since I made a pair of 'that pink one' and chuck it. The 'staid' lot accumulate because they are harder to tell quickly if there are pairs or if they have been lingering for a while. They all look the same.

Which is why, funnily enough, I don't like all one colour socks for the reason so many of you like them. Umpteen pairs of similar but not the same black socks are hideous to pair up.

I don't mind ( or didn't used to) wearing odd socks but not of different material or thickness. I prefer them to match now. :)

    An mse day here.

i have had toothache all weekend. no emergency appointment at regular dentist so I rang 111.

they got me an urgent appt for this morning at an NHS dentist.

I have a gum infection, my own faut as I had not been flossing over the last two months as I could not do it one handed. given anti biotics.problem solved and Oh bought me some one handed interdental things to solve cleaning issue. here is the MSE bit. at the NHS dentist I asked if they were taking new patients. they were and I have registered and booked a new patient appt, so cheaper dental costs from here in.

Then I went to lunch at Wagamama and unexpectedly my friend treated me to lunch.
A neighbour has brought round a fish pie and my friend had also baked half a dozen small tartlets with yummy fillings.

You are such a waggamama gal now! I'm so glad you like it.

Noodles are really good GI index too.

I adore interdental brushes, much more effective than floss too. I know I have to see a dentist, but now I'm trying to see if I can hold out till that thing that makes your own teeth grow instead of fillings becomes more available. :o. I'll try and get to a dentist that has that.

I suppose I should be checking to see if any avant guarde dentists are getting that in sw. Scotland is too far to go.

A productive day then, from something that started so badly.

My dentist is private, there were no NHS ones for over 100 miles when I last looked.... and he's good so I've kept going. My interdentals come in a packet and cost £7.50/pack of about 5-6. I must look up the name and buy some online cheaper really! They're little brushes that you shove through and twist. They come in different sizes, so it's important to get the right diameter else they won't fit and you stop using them. I've got two sizes, a pack of smaller ones, just in case one gets tricky/tight to fit.

Cheap interdental brushes have a nasty habit of coming apart between your teeth. Its hideously frustrating and distressing, the worst thing ever stuck between your teeth. If its a back tooth its really hard to get out to. I'd stick to tepe if that's what you are using.

I use three sizes. :o. My teeth at the front have a little more 'breathing space' :o.
