Not always....;)“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Someone leaves an extra quote box in a post, then it throws all subsequent replies out of the correct quotes.
Just go back in via edit and delete the extra quote box.....
Nope, no tablet here...I think it's to do with my user settings as, since I returned to posting I can't use any of the features on my laptop or work PC. I did change my view to a zillion posts per page though but that's the only thing.
I can only 'drag' a smiley into a post not click it in.
On Chrome it's no different.
Mmmmm, makes my posts look badly crafted and untidy ( drag)
I miss being able to pop a picture in too.
I can do quotes from each post just not fresh ones.0 -
Didn't know you could drag smillies into posts - will try that on my phone next time I remember!0

I don't read much fiction, but Paul Torday is on my must read list. I've met a lot if people who didn't like Salmon Fishing in the Yemen as a film, but very few who don't like the book. Plus I like the fact that the premise for each book is so different.
I'm currently about half way through Hack Attack by Nick Davies (about the Murdoch empire and its hacking of public figures), but I'm going to have to give up on it as it just isn't holding my attention in the same way as Flat Earth News. Next up is the new Tim Butcher, about the outbreak of WW1. I enjoyed Blood River, so have high hopes for that. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Apart from food when he is away, not while he is at uni. They can also swim (outside of their normal training sessions), for only a £1.
It was blooming expensive when he was younger though...and we had all 3 at the swimming club! Fortunately, when I divorced, the club had special arrangements for those having financial difficulties and halved the fees, unfortunately, James lost his passion for swimming as now ex decided to tell him we were splitting on the way back from a training session and he soon gave it up.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I prefer carparks I can pay for on exit really. At the pre pay ones I prefer to lob on an extra hour to estimated time. Should be less than an hour? Bung in two. This is of course a silly waste of money, but other wise I thing I'd be more fearful about going out because I'd get stressed about making it back to the car . I can always GET bACK. Just in what time frame is the question. Better to pay more for the peace of mind for the few times I use car parks I think. ( I also do that very wicked thing of passing my ticket on......I hate that that's not allowed, I think its horrific that its not allowed.....you are allowed to buy guest parking permits as a resident and give them to a neighbour's guest...what's the difference here?)
This is my sock haul from today, ( they were on special offer) the branch of this shop is closing down but there are I think three others and a website. I used to shop at another branch of this shop, but the socks are a more recent 'thing' . The shop sells cotton quilts ( which wash really surprisingly well and are so beautiful) and white Cotton night dresses. Some table linens.
Btw that background really is peach not filthy white or something . Fir and I are the last remaining people in the world to have a set of peach sheets I think.
I am currently sitting on my bed...on a peach sheet! We made it! My 'neutral socks' are beige ( sort of skin colour) or pink.( other sort of skin colour) I wear boots outside most of this time of year anyway, so my socks won't get seen for a while.
. Today when we went out I just wore my slightly smarter yard boots:o. With pink socks with red toes and heels.
I don't own any socks as youngest nicked them all, even the girly coloured ones.
Think I best get some more before it gets cold.....We made it! All my socks are the same colour - makes them easier to pair up. At one time, we had five different lots of men's socks going in the wash. Pairing them up was a significant issue. (Yes, I know, pair them up before washing them, with a clip to hold them together. Does anyone do that?)No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Reminds me of this Matthew Parris article I read years ago.
