A friend also got hers. I logged on to see when mine is due to be delivered, it said January-February 2015. Mine is number 150,000 roughly, so I that is about one sixth of the way through, could be a long wait if you are one of the last.
well done on the Masters.

All my socks are black, M&S boys - the largest size is just right for my size 36 feet. Regular adult socks start at 37-41, which just go baggy round my feet and get uncomfortable.
I've bought them in two sets, and you can tell them apart from the writing inside the top elastic. But they pair well enough even if not 100% matched.
There is a woman on old style who buys boys pants because they are cheaper and last longer.0 -

I can say with absolute certainty that I wouldn't fit into boys pantsPasturesNew wrote: »My feet are a 4½, which is a modern 37. I find socks are too big .... maybe M&S boys are the answer! (price depending).
I seem to recall they were cheaper than adults' socks (perhaps no VAT??). You could try looking in other shops for cheaper versions.Good news, DD has just been awarded a distinction in her masters degree. She has worked hard for that. Her linked in page was updated straight away!
Fabulous news and very well earned! :T
That helicopter incident sounds intriguing, PN - I watch quite a few of the police driving programmes and often they have the helicopter out when there's been a long chase and the driver then legs it from the vehicle across gardens etc.
We have helicopters around a lot - either army ones (you can hear the Chinooks at 50 paces) or police if they're searching for someone who's gone missing and might have entered the river.0 -

I have his book, I Blame the Scapegoats. It's quite good. A bit whiny too though. It's Not FAAAAAAIR. If you like books by journalists, Give War a Chance: The Fight Against Injustice, Tyranny and Alcohol-free Beer by PJ o'Rourke is an absolute cracker. It's written about the time that communism was falling apart and is funny, accurate (kinda) and scathing.
I'm a big Matthew Parris fan. His columns are pretty good considering and I liked the thing he did when he tried to live off benefits for a week.
I like PJ O'Rourke too. My favourite is Holidays in Hell. Ascerbic and funny.PasturesNew wrote: »A productive day then, from something that started so badly.
My dentist is private, there were no NHS ones for over 100 miles when I last looked.... and he's good so I've kept going. My interdentals come in a packet and cost £7.50/pack of about 5-6. I must look up the name and buy some online cheaper really! They're little brushes that you shove through and twist. They come in different sizes, so it's important to get the right diameter else they won't fit and you stop using them. I've got two sizes, a pack of smaller ones, just in case one gets tricky/tight to fit.
Every now and again I've managed to pick up Tepe on offer in supermarkets. Worth a look.Good news, DD has just been awarded a distinction in her masters degree. She has worked hard for that. Her linked in page was updated straight away!
Woo hoo! Congratulations hjd jr!Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'm currently about half way through Hack Attack by Nick Davies (about the Murdoch empire and its hacking of public figures), but I'm going to have to give up on it as it just isn't holding my attention in the same way as Flat Earth News. Next up is the new Tim Butcher, about the outbreak of WW1. I enjoyed Blood River, so have high hopes for that.
If you do read them, try them in the order they were written as characters turn up in each. I would avoid the Wilberforce story as it was very dark and depressing.
My favourite was The Legacy of Hartlepool Hall.
I read 'Us' recently (Is it David Nicholls) and loved it but preferred his book 'The Understudy'.
> Gen, O Farrells novels are far better than his ranting 'factual' type books.

I forgot to write about the Hot tap last night
> Lir We got an unbranded boil tap with filtered cold water (back for boil / fwd for filtered. It's small and neat and cost about £300.
Use it all the time and never get the kettle out (which was the original point so as to keep the white Corian sink side all clutter free). At work it feels odd now to have to wait for the kettle to boil.
If you can fit one in the budget, worth having.0 -

Woo hoo! Congratulations hjd jr!
Going to have to try one of his.
And ditto to Hjd's DD.
Spirit is out and about *yay*....hope every day is better than the last. I do recall when my stepfather recovered from the last it progressed day by day. He had almost total memory loss for a while too but 80% seems to have come back.0 -
