I'm was quite chuffed with my car mechanic skills this weekend.

Mrs. Wheezy's Hyundai's heater blower was sounding like a clogged up hoover....removed the glovebox ...heater blower engine behind it, filter on top of it... remove filter, tap tap, blow blow, tap tap, lots of fluff and dust... filter back in, glovebox back in and it's barely audible on lower speed now and purrs nicely on higher speeds.... woop woop! :)

    Well,

I liked the cleaners. One of them has a name that rhymes with a Friend of mine who does some cleaning. The price seems fair, I like the products they use, they are bubbly and enthusiastic.

How did they react to the house?

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Doing a bit of looking around on t'Internet last night, I suddenly realised that my GG-grandfather's siblings had been called: Willy and Fanny.

Obviously the words meant something different 150 years ago :)

Can't believe that got past swear filter and that you don't have GG siblings called !!!!! and !!!!!

Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

    2 girls Chewy...woo!

My very normal names are Sophie and Emily.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

As much as I like the name Clemency, my normal names would be Charlotte and Imogen.

    Ha ha.

I was going to suggest Chlamydia and Chancroid. Lovely names.

Hmm something to celebrate the Anglo-Australian-ness. Victoria and Albion? Boony and Beefy (one for the cricket fans)? Stubbie and Schooner?

Perhaps you could name them like people used to name cats: Brandy and Whisky or Salt and Pepper.

Remember how there'd be an old lady somewhere who had taken in a neighbour's cat and then one of hers had died so she'd have Brandy and Pepper?

I've had the scan. I get the results in a week which is annoying as I have the CD with them on in my bag. I made the appointment late so can't get the results until next week.

The scan went ok? That is a bit annoying about the results, but it's good you get them on a disc!

    The scan went fine.

    The way it goes is:

    - Arrive
    - Answer a load of questions. Realise you're pretty hungry and can't eat until this is all over
    - Take a pill which makes you feel really very nice indeed
    - Lie around on an uncomfortable trolly for an hour dozing and having some strange dreams
    - Get woken up and injected with radioactive glucose
    - Lie around for another hour. Really quite hungry now.
    - Get woken up again and lie in the scanner for about 20 minutes. They player Oliver's Army (they really still play a record on the radio that uses the word n1gg3r?) and Major Tom so not so bad.
    - Food, blessed food. Sandwiches and an apple juice. Hang about for 5 mins while they out together the results for me to take to the doc.
