I am a previous malmer. I have been malm free for about 2173 days.

Billy bookshelves though? A design classic for the proles.

I put together a Malm double width chest of drawers on Sunday. We converted my old office into a flat, and the new tenant wanted a chest of drawers, so Malm naturally. It took about 3 hours to put it together, but I'd be a lot quicker if doing it again.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I have this thing about MDf. It upsets me. I like wood. Wood that perhaps isn't perfect but that is real. I'd love to get the study done though. In there we have plastic garage shelves. It looks awful frankly. Oh, and a billy cd rack. And a saddle rack. And a couple of boxes. Ever time in think we've cleared the floor ( there are boxes on the shelves but to be honest I'm wary of touching them till we empty the room for shelves to be built) another one or two appear....shoved in corners...which I detest, as if I won't notice or mind if they are in a corner.

I honestly don't know where they are appearing from now. :D

Hello Westie.Ben does not catch things either. he occassionally considers chasing a squirrel or deer but mostly CBA. he will make a dash for the cat but it is very half hearted.

today OHs neice hhas come and is currently in DDs room cleaning. I am just sitting. my humerous (upper arm bone) is misaligned and a pinch point created in my shoulder joint so I have had a lot of pain. Physio has been in and moved it, strapping my arm to help hold it. the solution is for me to position my arm correctly(turn out instead of turned in)but my scapula is still paralysed so the joint is not flexible. I can't win on this so this afternoon I will see a GP and get stronger pain killers.

Someone else wants to come in today to "assess" me. I am being agreeable to everyone at present but can honestly say I am mostly finding well qualified professionals deployed on asking the bleeding obvious, with the intention of delegating any rquirement to a care worker, with no stroke specific skills, or alternatively telling me what I need but will not get, is starting to annoy me.

I don't like Ikea, it is too Tesco to me - ie we think we have a brand that whilst not premium lets us get away with charging slightly more for the same product.

I would love to be able to afford real wood everywhere, it is wonderful especially when freshly sawn/planed.

On the plus side You are getting the daily physio and are still very much in the loop.

Please please understand I know how you feel. Its grating and draining and frustrating, but you do seem to be progressing well and getting help, even if it is self funded.

At least if you are getting clear indication of what you need you can progress that. I know this must sound very heartless, but be grateful you have a clear pathway of recovery and people pointing you in that direction. Because knowing you the path pointed out you'll darn well march down it! And your family will carry any luggage or accoutrements you need along the way as they follow you. :kisses3:
