Ooh, you've hit on a pet hate of mine: misuse of slang by native speakers.

    Aris not arris.

    Why?

    Aris ==> Aristotle ==> Bottle ==> Bottle and glass ==> @r53

It should be Aris, capitalised. Or capitalized if you have a thing about the -ise/-ize use. And maybe that should be a semi-colon not a comma, I'm not great on semi-colons. **Sigh** English be hard.

No offence anyhoo, I mean it in the spirit of educating nice people everywhere.:D

:D I've always looked on it purely as a way of avoiding the attentions of the swear filter, but thanks for the info!

Haha I thought exactly the same!

Yup, it's rhyming slang. It sounds quite impressive when said quickly in an East End accent.

I 'me not sure when it stops but fairly sure in healthy people its not going on in the thirties. ( I was this height early too....11 or twelve? It was a worry because I thought I'd out grow ponies, but i didn't....then!)

Its very much most likely fir has been mis measured.

The crucial thing firstly , is that he can confirm no one else is using his name and details in another part of the country and leaching from NHs. ( which is done...the confusion being his go is here, the health check was there) Next thing is to get measured again.

Edit: Maybe they didn't want to flatten his curls or something? ;) he had a lot of hair cut of on Saturday.

I grew an inch at the age of 31! No idea why, never bothered to get it checked.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I'm totally not worried about it and guess its a clerical thing, or maybe the health check was in the morning or something. ( I'll ask that, silly I didn't before). I did ask if they messed up his hair and he said smugly that they pushed the height thingy all the way down.

He's chuffed, because it makes him just under half an inch off average height in uk. :D

Just a pure guess on my part, but perhaps it's due to the EDS. Your height includes the size of all the joints between your feet and your head, including lots of joints in the spine. If each of those loosened up by 1mm, that would give you an inch of growth.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Why do men get so hung up about an extra inch here or there?
    I think....

Kiwi just caught a rat of reasonable size. Skip post GDB
Wow...now I'm so glad westie doesn't manage to catch anything. He tries though...the closest he's been is about a foot away from a lazy pigeon taking its time to fly off.

Malm; yup we have some white Malm (2 high narrow drawer units).

Is this a new NP thing? In addition to the greater Hertfordshire/jewish/mushroom/scientist connections, we all have Malm?
We have Malm too, this one:
