Lydia So glad DD liked the lady today. Will she still meet the others as well, or won't you bother now?
Michaels What a lovely helpful person you are
and very good at explaining things!
In fact I must say this thread is full of lovely helpful people :A
Sorry about the wretched tinnitus lir. Hope it passes quickly!
Maggie are you doing okay? Have you had the blood tests yet? (at least, I think I remember you saying you were going to have blood tests). Thinking of you and sending "feel better vibes" to Liverpool. Oh, and have you heard anything back from the viewing the other day? *crosses fingers*
Nikkster Well done for sending the email. I don't know how it all works, never having done a PhD; is what you've sent a sort of summary of what you're looking to say in the thesis, to check that it's acceptable for submission? apologies if i've got hold of the wrong end of the stick
Masomnia Glad your date went so well
Are you seeing her again?
Aaagh, someone's started setting off bangers *rolls eyes* Thankfully the cat who moved himself in with us a few years ago doesn't seem to mind fireworks too much, unless they get VERY loud.
Hello lemonjelly :hello: I joined the NP thread while you were away, having been lurking for some time. Good to see you back.
Everyone's been missing you! 0 -

Thankfully since Black Saturday in Victoria in 2009 we've got a lot better at keeping the people safe, even if it's sometimes at the expense of property.
I mentioned previously, but my cousin's friend was a volunteer firie with the CFA and died in the fires. I'm glad the system has changed.
My cousin and friends did a big ride on the Great Ocean Road to raise funds for the family.HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »

Yes, you do. You really, really do. I can't believe I missed mEwbie:(.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I love the way everyone gets a bold name check except for LIR who no doubt doesn't on the grounds that her ears are a bit delicate today
PN I almost certainly have a TRV somewhere in the house (or garage or shed)...but if I needed one I would almost certainly buy a new one rather than spend half a day searching. Our level of hoarding and disorganisaton far surpasses that of any other NP including Lydia's DD :eek:I think....0 -
Yesterday we went to a craft event for kids put on by the local library, the kids loved it and I met some nice librarians, I think I would be satisfied with that as a job but sadly the D Family would not be happy with the income.
This has inspired me to look at the county library reorg plan (they need to save a further 20 ish % having already saved a bit more than that in the last 4 years). Our local libraries seem to be 'safe' but some other small ones are under threat. OF course for me the 'need' is for the kids and the nice to have is that I can get free ebooks but I know the libraries do a lot more for the communities. Could they co-locate with coffee shops or something similar to help offset the overhead?I think....0 -

Either that or he's going to start charging you a licensing fee for using his brand name :rotfl:0 -

You're along the right lines, but rather than a summary, I've send the 'thing' as it is - the whole document (well, master and sub-documents). It's not going to be the longest of such documents ever written, but not so much of a summary as... 'so... here is where it's at at this minute'
There is going to be a lot of nervous email checking on Monday. I'm not anticipating a very positive repsonse...0 -

Tonight I could have done with some nice sweeties and a TV that worked.
Pop to Lidl? They should be able to help with the sweeties.
After all the talk of gin and beer yesterday, I resisted.
I've just opened a bottle of red wine. Oh boy, does it taste good. Hopefully it'll help the typing too
