....meh, it's Norwich.
But Norwich has a nice, cheery, outdoor market - and the stalls have cheery striped canopies

It's also en-route to Great Yarmouth from where I used to live, so it was magical as you knew you were on the final stretch once you'd got that far0 -
That's because unlike cheap Aussie house constructions it's made of proper tinfoil.;)
In the NT at the time there wasn't much of a building code.
IIRC, they still don't have a building code at all if you go properly out bush. The NT does properly out bush properly. There's 230,000 people living in an area the size of the old Western Europe of whom 125,000 live in Darwin. and most of the rest live along the road to Alice Springs.
The 5th biggest town/City in the NT has 5,001 inhabitants according to Wikipedia.
I've been to Darwin once but I'd love to drive there some time via Cape Cod.0 -

Darwin probably had a nice, cheery outdoor market until Tracy came along.:eek:0 -

It seems that I have a filthy mind.
Neither Angel Foods nor Angelic Foods are available as a dot com. They are as a dot com dot au. Is that good enough? Quite possibly in Aus actually.0 -

I suspect almost everyone ends up at a site via links from search or social these days, so probably doesn't matter much if at all?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Medical situation is harder. Because my situation is so complicated its hard for any GP. Maybe its best Ihave a GP whose reaction yesterday was 'yeah whatever' and who I accept I have to hound for referrals etc. because for a new GP to get head round situation is a big deal. Maybe I consider this one broken in and just be more proactive.
I think what's hard to get across is just how over loaded we sometimes are, and how the time constraints and inability to beat out decisions because there isn't time over a weekend or I'm too tired and he's too busy really impacts. I find this incredibly frustrating because it makes decisions take very much longer and circular.
We spend far too much time these days fighting fires, because we haven't been able to adequately prepare as a team.
I would cite things like the car as perfect example of this. Not able to find time to go and look at other cars together. A lot of the time I feel even 'handicapped' as I am would be more efficient making solo decisions over somethings, but its a decision we stand by, that we feel big decisions should be taken together, for relationship unity.
We just need for me to have more energy and for more hours in a day, or more days in a weekend or something.
Yes, you did take the heating guys to court - and all us NP were behind you in that. I'm sorry if I implied criticism of your choices about the legal side of things.
I'm thinking more of the way you continued living in a freezing house for so long with such cheerfulness and fortitude when the rest of us were all worrying about the adverse effect it might be having on your health.
I'm sure you will eventually get things sorted about your medication, and that you and fir will make wise decisions about whether complaints need to be made etc. My concern is that you should get the drugs you need now, without any further delay.
Thank you for explaining about the difficulties of joint decision making with very limited time. I can understand that now you've pointed it out, but it hadn't previously occurred to me. Sorry.Doozergirl wrote: »I'm traumatised
I always check DDs hair for nits. After last week's marathon head combing eggs that I'd found out of her hair, I've gone to re-treat today and her head is full of lice of varying sizes. I feel sick. I must have caught it a bit early last week, I don't know, but this a totally different experience.
Misery. I treated myself yesterday again but I can't comb my own hair through. I feel horriblewho is delousing you?
could you and doozerboy do each other in a primate foreplay kind of way, to improve the experienceor at least make it a couples experience. every cloud and all that
It is perfectly possible to delouse yourself. You need lots of conditioner, a nit comb, and a clean plain white cloth (or more than one). You cover your hair with a liberal quantity of conditioner, and start combing one section at a time. You put the comb through and then wipe it on the white cloth to see if it has got anything - nits show up as little dark specks. Keep going until you're not getting any more little dark specks. If you do it every other day for a week, you'll get them all.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

My guess is that it matters as much as a phone number: if you can get a good one cheaply then that's no bad thing but it's not worth paying fortunes for.0 -

Lydia has been urging on this issue for sometime.
Its very frustrating to me, but if I can find some one who feels they can cope with state of house then this seems most sensible area to outsource.
Hope you find the right person for it.I am an uncle again :j
:beer:are you ineligible?
I have just had an assessment (this morning ) from an adult services assessor who has told me that from tomorrow morning i will have 6 weeks of someone coming in every morning to help me with dressing and putting my 'aids on'. If I need a service after 6 weeks I will have to pay towards it, but I should hope I will be ok by then. she has also said that once I have past the 3 month mark I should apply for PIP, others had said similar but I cannot believe I would be eligible. apparently this is key if my mobility continues to be a problem as I would then get assistance to adapt my car or an allowance to enable transport.I am hoping none of this is needed, but would have thought that if I am encouraged to apply that you Sue and LIR would be eligible.
recent falls have made me rethink what I will do when both oh and dd are away in November.my sister is coimng to stay. I am not safe to be alone 24/7 as I am now walking round the furniture and not carrying things in my right hand as i use it to steady myself.
Hope you can sort something out.To help her get around in the house, mother in law was given a metal tea trolley thingy that worked okay for her. It gave her some support as well as allowing her to move stuff around. I'll try to find a picture if you are interested.
When she was rather wobbly on her feet my Granny found her tea trolley invaluable.
Off to take DD to the doc - earache. Still haven't caught up on the thread. Will get a bit further with it later today.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Yes. As long as .com.au is the usual path in Aus. I take it you're not seeking world domination just yet?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

World domination might have to wait a year or two. Having said that, it's worth keeping the option open.0
