I've only heard of him via this forum, so you are not alone cbc, although when I read your post, I had a little look for him, just out of curiosity and found this http://www.daveramsey.com/home/?snid=home
I too may have a look, as he is obviously well respected by fellow MSErs

Thanks, Dobbibill:T. Looks very interesting, will definitely be checking it out. All help on the debt-busting/saving front is more than welcome.
According to the radio channel finder from the website you linked to he can be found on iHeart radio (whatever that is....I must have led a sheltered life, I've never heard of it:o)
Thanks again:beer:0 -
Another £3.25 skimmed from the bank account into the ISA.
Waiting for my £25 transfer on the 1st to bump it up a bit more.
Current total £53.25
Well done everyone, let's keep these totals going up!

I'm joining :-) I don't know if a lot will agree it's wise but I want £1000 in cash in the house for emergencies. (lets face it 99% emergencies are cash in hand anyway)
I do have £500 I have as a kind of EF but it's allocated to pay of the mortgage (but I'm not incase something goes wrong) but I would really like to pay this of the mortgage so I will start from £0.
Hoping that this challenge will make me start pound watching so I can add bits here and their.
I'll update tomorrow with a figure as I have bits of cash round the house well..to round up.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Keep up the good work everyone!!!
I'm clearing my credit card and a loan to my parents before topping up my EF, so at the moment - it's still sat at £50!

update #45 £190/£1000
Unfortunately, due to several trips to the vets, my EF has gone down slightly.
This is my final January update, honestly!!
Big :T to everyone who is focusing on their EF, although things crop up, go wrong, divert us for some reason or another there are so many updates on here, where we are all plodding away at it.

Update #84 now £125/£1000
Feeling slightly guilty though as we are setting up our DMP with StepChange and it feels like this should have gone to creditors rather than the token £1 payment I did send them all.
We're just trying to work out how much we need this month in our accounts for essential bills and living expenses (as per StepChange plan) and then the rest is going into the emergency fund so hopefully it will jump quite a bit when DH is paid - but as I said I feel a bit guilty about putting the money in savings and not paying the creditors - but this is a short term (one month) non-payment towards a long term goal of becoming debt freeDFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0
