#45 £340.00 as usual SO went over on 21st of Jan.
I too fear it will not be there long as a vet's bill is currently standing at £58 and possibly due to increase next week due to my cat being not very well at all but for now this is my total.
Well done to everybody who is putting anything they can in their EF, every penny is worth it, big or small amounts :T

Well done to everyone who has managed to add anything to their EFs and commiserations to all who have had to dip into theirs to cover unexpected expenses. Don't feel too bad about it, that's what the EF is for anyway:beer:.
I'm going to have to raid mine big-time shortly:mad:. Initially started squirreling away every surplus penny to cover my car repair (still not done and becoming crucial). Am going to a friend's funeral on Monday and will need plenty of petrol. I've already paid for the flowers and these 2 costs will just about come out of the little bit I had earmarked to add to EF at end of the month. So that won't be happening now.
My multi-function printer has been on its last legs for a while now and I've managed to keep resuscitating it but today it has completely conked out:eek:. It is years old and wasn't expensive at the time (the inks cost more than the machine even though I use generics:eek:) so not worth paying for repair. I use it so much and can't afford to be without one so must replace asap, either online this weekend or from a real shop on Tuesday when I'm back from the funeral. Will definitely be raiding EF to pay for that.0 -
Hello :hello:
I would like to join please,if you will have me.
Need to start an emergency fund and this seem like a good place to start. xx0 -
Well done everyone who's added to their EF ... commiserations for those who've had to dip into it BUT at least it's there & we're not relying on c/card / ODs or taking on more debt when something's cropped up :T
Small Quidco payment to add to mine - now at £5.85
Need to have a think about how I'm going to put money away into this - I think I'll start doing Tilly Tidies again (used to do these to save up for treats when I was paying my debts) but doubt there will be a lot spare in Jan as have over £200 of vets bills to pay  ....... Feb's going to be a quiet month!
I'm still reading through the thread Patman so sorry about your job and fingers crossed something turns up really soonGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

If you have to buy a new one then check TCB or Quidco for cashback offers. Could save you a few pennies for the EF. :TI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Hi All and welcome to all our new members! Payday for me on Friday, so have transferred my usual over to the EF, plus a couple of quid extra to take it up to a round £275 (27.5%), hoping to be at 33% by the end of Feb, so I can say I'm 1/3 of the way there!
Sorry to hear no news yet on the job front Patman, fingers crossed for your upcoming interview.
My EF is becoming ever more important as it looks like OH's job may not be very secure. I'm imposing a spending ban this month, as I spent stupid amounts of money on things I didn't need in the sales. Need to sit down and see how far my wage would stretch in covering our outgoings in the event OH did find himself out of work...
Well done to everyone plodding on. Together we can do this!0 -
