Never been much of a saver previously unfortunately, probably the reason I contacted a well know charity today regarding my first and last DMP, a weight has been lifted off my shoulders immediately. On a more positive note a Emergency fund would have probably saved me from the hurendous pay day loan companies which have been a massive factor in my situation, with this is mind is it too late to join this challenge?0

Welcome, damondash:coffee:
Good for you, setting the wheels in motion for a DMP:T. Best/most sensible thing I ever did, nearly 2 years in to mine so far.
The only way is up now.0 -
I don't think my EF will have anything else added this month, even though I've sold various things and was planning to add the profits.
A friend died last week and what with the flowers and the petrol I'll need for the almost 300 mile round-trip to the funeral I won't have any surplus to add. Thankfully I won't need to dip into savings I've already got in my EF unless the weather turns really bad and I have to pay for somewhere to stay overnight.
My car is still not fixed and I don't want to turn up at the funeral in such a wreck so OH(who isn't going) is lending me his car(somewhat unwillingly:() so the least I can do is replace any used fuel. I'm used to running on fumes in mine when needs must:o.
Any news of Mrs P's job yet, patman?0 -

I haven't been able to add much to the EF this month due to several unexpected expenditures, however, it is slowly creeping up.
Now at £117.09. I'm happy with that
I hope to be able to check in with this thread more often now, but may not be adding much to the fund.#24 - £1000 Challenge - £397.24 (39.72%) / £10000 -
Hi not been on here for a while and just wanted to update and stay on track. I have £270 in my emergency fund at the moment. I have just sold a car on ebay for £391 and hopefully half of that money can be added to the fund.0
