BIG congratulations LittleMissDetermined on reaching your £1000 goal!! :T  And good work to everyone else who has managed to contribute anything :)

Patman how did the interview go today? Got my fingers crossed for you.

Unfortunately after a good start it looks like I'm not going to be able to add much more to my emergency fund until next payday. Just got my payslip and I have been significantly underpaid this month  Payroll have said they will sort it so that anything I was short this month will be added on to my next pay slip but it means things are much tighter this month than I was expecting. On well, i suppose my challenge for now will be to avoid taking anything out of the EF and I can concentrate on adding to it after I have been paid again.

    Current EF: £232.19

Another £60 txed to my EF and I start a new job Monday.

Can now afford to pay-off holiday.

On the down side, my printer stopped working 56 pages into printing a 92 page manual for an ION LP2CD turntable I paid £15 for at the bottsale today.

    Hello

I would really like to join this challenge please. I am just about to start on my DMP and desperately need an Emergency Fund. I'm sure joining a challenge will make me more likely to save rather than trying to do it alone!

    Thank you!!

  • Hello all, I haven't posted for a while as the savings for my emergency fund are slow going. Another £40 to add for #196 so my total is up to £500 now.

I have realised however that if my car insurance quote does not go down significantly when it's due in Jan then I will have to use most of my EF for that...Which I suppose is what it's there for but I was hoping to save it for unexpected expenses and my car insurance isn't really unexpected! Hopefully I can make some extra money an fill it up (and possibly over £1000 goal) a bit more quickly.
