Member 150 to report, I saw a couple of chairs on the drive of a house, I knock on the door and ask them whether I could have them. I am generally quite shy so just asking was a big achievement for me. They say yes please, so got them home and I put them for sale on a local site. I ll be very happy if I get 15 gbp

Hello everyone
I hadn't realised how time has flown by since I last posted here.. It was back at the beginning of July! Life has been busy with all sorts but now it has slowed down which I like
Now I've caught up on all the posts, Im raring to get back to MSE and change things for the better.
Unfortunately the EF has taken a hammering over the past few months.
So today i'm declaring the EF fund standing at a staggering #77 £0/1000. Then once we've been paid I should be able to see where we stand with things. :j
Patman - Congratulations on your new job plus a big thanks for starting this thread.

First off, apologies for my 'abscence'. My mum has not been well again, so we have been house/dog/mum sitting and she has no internet.
Tomuchdebt, your number changed as a result of the original list getting deleted for some unknown reason. I had to trawl through the thread 1 page at a time and re-build the bit that got 'chopped'.
in this proccess I became aware that I had given 2 people the same number, hence a load of folks got new numbers allocatted to them.
Anyway the new job lasted all of a week. It was very fiddley and with a thumb missing on one hand, I found it impossible to get up to the required speed.
Meezel, welcome back to the fold. I am sure you will soon start to add to your EF again.
Swimming, using part of your EF for uni fees should be considered as an investment in your future.Never Knowingly Understood.

Sorry to hear about your Mum and your job, patman.
I hope Mum will be better soon and that you find a job that's a perfect fit for you:beer:0 -
Hope it's not too late to join - I'd love to build an emergency fund after living close to the line as a student for 6 years. (would also like to do this alongside clearing the overdraft - might do that first but hoping being signed up and having a number will be motivation in itself.
Thanks for the idea carbootcrazy!House fund: ~£5000 / £10,000_£1000 emergency fund #208 - £151.74/ 1000 _
