At least one of my posts has vanished though, that wasn't remotely nasty. Why does that always happen when I stick up for you? I might stop bothering!0 -

She said she'd had to edit some "antagonistic posts" towards me. But feel free to stick up for me again. I won't report you.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Your daughter is not part of their lives ,motorbike in someone 's garage and son's asthma is. What's wrong.with it ? Youay want to go to counselling.yourself
It's weird how people see things from a totally different angle.
OP's daughter is totally part of their lives, she's their granddaughter!!
Unless family members see each other day in day out, then the usual thing (and polite thing) to do is to enquire how people are keeping or what they've been up to lately. You know show a little interest.
Well, show a little interest if they are at all bothered about their grandchild (which most grandparents are), that is.0 -

Not saying that this is the norm, but this is like when my grandma rings. She has 5 kids and 10 grandchildren, 8 of which she sees all the time. She does ask how we are but her stories are about what the other kids did that week. It's not necessarily ignorance or them not asking out of spite, I know I sometimes forget to ask about people (for example, my 4 year old cousin has pneumonia. I spoke to my auntie online about something else and completely forgot to ask)Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Wait until you have a baby and it happens every single time. You might feel a little different.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
So, by way of an update, DH is now trying to arrange things so that we can go on the Thurs/Fri trip as planned. He doesn't want to pressure his parents into saying whether they're coming or not and wants to get things sorted out together in case they do. He agrees we need to know a week or so before as an absolute minimum and he'll tell them if they can't stay on the Friday.
This was all off his bat, no nagging from me whatsoever.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0
