  • Nope. He couldn't give a !!!!.
So he is happy for you to cancel your going away plans on the Thursday/Friday, wants them to stay in your (full up) spare rooms and plans to be of no help around the house in preparing? He also isn't going to chase parents to say you need a definite answer ASAP on when they are coming?
  • "If they stay in a hotel I'm staying there with them."

    Says it all, really.

So its perfectly fine for you to stay in hotels but not for his precious parents?

And on his DDs AND Wife's birthdays, he would prefer to be at a hotel with parents and brother!!!!!!

Tell him to have fun and then you can have an amazing time with DD and hers/your friends at her tea party then go out for the day just the two of you on sunday!

  • Where did he say to put them? in the spare room, you give up your room, lounge? did he offer any suggestions on how best to house them?

He was amazed that he'd have to consider anything like that. He should just click his fingers and all would magically be sorted.

I believe it was a mistake to raise the topic again. If you want someone to take responsibility.for organising something you do not keep nagging them . I am not sure why you so uptight about hum.staying in a hotel with parents for one night , sure it is an option.
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

One night? Where did you get that from? It's at least 3 nights, including his daughter's birthday.

And I had to "raise it again" because I need to know what I'm booking and when!!!
