Deleted_User you are so organised. I really need to do this with my scraps. I bet you are itching to get on with some new quilts now. Hope the ladies in your class are having a good time and getting bitten by the quilting bug .

Kicking his up. I have finished sorting all my fabric. Two boxes of strips, one Christmas stuff and two boxes of various sized squares.
I have spent most of the afternoon on the internet listening to the coverage of Richard III's journey to Leicester Cathedral prior to the re - interment of his mortal remains. It was fascinating listening and later watching the programme on Chanel 4.0 -
Hi all,
I enjoyed the show at Duxford, Made 2 trips to the car with my shopping.... well, I can't carry much these days, and we are having another home made gifts year. Already 3 new babies in the family this year, all getting blankets I have made.Loving the sunny days!0 -
Well done Deleted_User it must be a lovely feeling to have all your fabric organised. Fine foot sounds like you had a good spend, those shows are just too much temptation but all good if it is for Christmas presents. Actually did some sewing today, made a floor cushion for a friend's daughter from the remnants of her curtains I shortened. Off to my monthly quilting group on Saturday so must find something to take with me to sew.

Very little done since last weekend where I managed to find some material to make a border to match the quilt I'm working on. It really is the little achievements that I enjoy. I am almost to the point of finishing my quilt top now and am trying really hard not to think of a new one to start on next ... its not like I don't have enough to be working on!
I am still a little jealous of you Miffy with your group, perhaps one day I will find one!
Csarina, you make me feel so lazy with how much you achieve! You are all quite an inspiration for me.0 -
I've been alternating between the pink quilt and a little free embroidery panel I'm messing about with. We've been out and about this week but I've been fitting bits and pieces in when we've had some downtime.
Have a good weekend everyone.0 -
Two of the ladies finished the pot holders at the meeting. One of the ladies is very slow and nervous so I am having to spend a lot of Tim with her. I was shattered when I got home.
Starting to print the instructions for the sampler blocks, all the ladies have chosen the same blocks which makes it easier for me, starting with the pin wheel, I can work through to the hardest last. I can also spread out the printing a bit. I will end up with blocks for 2 samplers, as I plan to demo each one.
I have a play mat out on the ironing board to quilt, just going to stitch in the ditch and bind it.0 -
Hi there Quilty friends. Went to my monthly quilting group yesterday and one of the members gave a demo of foundation piecing which was very good. My friend and I had bought a little kit from a Japanese company at the Festival of Quilts and it needs to be foundation pieced so we can now do this. It certainly makes the piecing very accurate. Some members of the group had started a Chinese Whispers quilt project before we joined and the reveal was yesterday, some stunning quilts and we are going to do another one starting in May so,debating whether to join in or not ! Patches I do hope you can find a group to join , it is fun to meet different quilters and share techniques and ideas. Deleted_User sounds like you are doing a good job with your ladies but I can imagine it is exhausting , all the preparation and then the actual teaching. Aleceiffel glad your projects are going well. Really want to get on with my foundation piecing but house needs a tidy first and then Sunday roast to do. Onwards and upwards. Hope you all find time to quilt and sew this week.Happy Quilting all£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund

Bumping up!!
As I need to demo all the blocks for the sampler, I am going to make the blocks into either table runners or mats. I have picked out 4 fabrics plus the background.........I need to have everything sorted before we go away, our next meeting is the Thursday after we come back.
I am gradually reducing the bags I take to the meetings. I have just ordered a new 12 1/2 square up ruler, my old rulers I am taking to class.
I took some stuff to the charity shop this morning, I asked if they were interested in plastic crates and boxes, the manageress almost snapped my arm off, so next time we are in town I will put them in the car. I am gradually getting rid of stuff.0 -
