That is really lovely Deleted_User I'm sure you will find a home for it in due course. Hope that your nursing duties are giving you some time to sew. I really need to get on with some "Works in Progress" these sunny days make me lazy.

Does anyone else find that as its sunny outside all those little sewing jobs you wanted to do get sidelined by the garden, and then just nipping out for a bit of overdue shopping (ran out of bread), then the neighbours offering some firewood they can't use (would have told us earlier but have only just seen us) which needs cutting to usable size ... and the day just vanished!!!
Hopefully I can get on with some soon!0 -
I so agree patches just not enough hours in the day. Hardly touched my sewing for weeks now and not really started on the garden yet. Just where does the time go'!!!'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No sewing really, I am tied up with the quilting group and getting them going on their sampler quilts. Pin wheel was the first block, most of them managed to finish it. Next is churn dash.......
The two play mats went off on Friday to their new owners one for a baby who is very sick and the other to a baby expected iin July. Think my next quilting project will be layering up and quilting my nine patch I made years ago.0 -
Well done Deleted_User I bet those ladies are loving your classes. I have quite a few finished tops that need to be layered and quilted but seem to have lost my mojo at the moment. Read on the daily thread that your DH is better, hope it continues .

Well I've finished the top of my storm at sea, I want to piece a backing for it before I layer it. I've also quilted (very minimally) a single bed sized quilt and am now hand sewing the binding.0

First block for the sampler needed demoing from the start, straightening the edges, cutting fabric accurately etc, thank fully the churn dash will not take so long, they have already done HST so its just the strip blocks, I have sewn them together, will just have to cut them, show how to assemble the block then they can get on with it.
Next month they will be doing the dresden plate, that should keep them busy. I have the paper blades of the fans cut out so they just have to cut the fabric slightly bigger and tack it down. The following month we will applique the plate onto the background.......its all go..........
The two play mats have got to their destinations, both ladies delighted, so now I need to find that nine patch and sort it out. I might give it to my youngest daughter when its finished.0
