I so agree with you patches, just wish I could get in the zone a bit more often. Life just seems to get in the way!

  • :D I have to admit I did spend £17 on some fabric. One of the ladies spent £75!!:eek:

I started last week sorting out my strips and bits box, pressing them and then cutting them either into squares or strips. I have done about half the box. I have a box full of various strips and piles of squares from 10" down to 2" I refuse to cut them any smaller. The Go cutter has been red hot.

I have been up stairs all day apart from getting meals, going to the loo and sitting to give my back a rest.

I have been watching videos by The Gourmet Quilter, she lives in New Zealand, they have a broad beam canal boat over here, she has filed some vid on the boat too. She is going to be at The Festival of Quilts in August.

I have offered to arrange a bus trip to the show, I must be crackers, as if I do nt have enough to do:mad::mad: OH says I need my head looking at!! I am waiting for quotes for coaches. They have gone up a lot since I last arranged a trip.:(

I know what you mean csarina, I used to run a swimming group and am still involved but have taken a major step back. I do still find myself doing the legwork for those who are meant to have taken over. There are days when we are just our own worst enemies! Hopefully the show will be worth it for you!
  • Bits and strips all done. I have a box of strips and one of squares. Started on the fat quarter boxes now. Have already found some pieces that can be cut into squares.

Know need to decide what I am going to do with it all. Think I might do a snowball lap quilt. I have enough squares in all conscience. Will use some 5" blocks and some of the 2" squares for the corners.

Well done Deleted_User you were very restrained in only spending £17. I have spent much more than that on many occasions when building up my stash:eek: well done for dealing with your scraps , a snowball quilt sounds good. I must get back to my star quilt now I have finished doing curtains for my DD's friend. The house needs a good tidy though as I have my book club here on Tuesday
    Happy Quilting all :)

    Hi everyone
Real Life is getting in the way of me posting on threads so I'm going to bow out of most of them.
Thanks very much to all the virtual friends I've made on here, it's been fun :D

I have finished the back of my small, pink quilt. I really like it and it's given me a bit of a boost to get some more done. DH is off work next week so I think we'll have lots of time at home, so I might make some headway.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

aleceiffel so glad to hear your quilt is going well. Not done any quilting lately as have been shortening curtains and knitting. Need to get back to it.

  • The fat quarter boxes have been sorted, I can now put 2 colours to a box and re label them. I have a box of strips and also squares from 10" down to 2". Some are in a box, the rest labelled are in poly bags.

I now have to sort the Christmas fabric bits and strips box and the box with my backing in. Once that's done I might be able to start on something new or finish a UFO. I really need to finish the tripe churn dash that I made in Amish colours. I am planning to take it with me on holiday next month.
