Hi, I have just found this thread and hopefully someone can help me.
I am sewing a quilt for my niece's birthday next month and want a good thread to top stitch the quilt. They are all so expensive - I just don't know which one to buy. It will probably be from an online shop.
Can anyone recommend a good thread that doesn't cost the earth.
Many thanksDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

I have started a new queen size quilt for our bed. The one that is on the bed at the moment was made in 2003 and hand quilted but my quilting friend. She is now almost blind. The quilt is very precious and showing some wear. I decided to bit the bullet and start a new one. Ohio Ster in quite bright colours.0

Hi, I thought I would resurrect this thread. I have taken up quilting in the last few months and am thoroughly enjoying it. I have just finished this quilt http://s591.photobucket.com/user/srnorth1/media/Quilting/DSC_0264.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
made from my son's old t shirts, it was the only way I could make him have a clear out! The other two quilts, if you can see them, were not quite finished at the time of the photos and were made from the bunting that I made for my other son's wedding. I am going to have a go at a bookcase quilt next. Wish me luck.
Anyone else quilting and would like to share their creations?0 -
I moved house at the weekend so my sewing room isn't set up yet. My first project will be the Storm at Sea quilt I have been promising myself for years!Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0

Oooooh a quilting thread!!! I am working on an EPP quilt, have been since Christmas, and it's only going to be a small one
time is my issue. I keep looking at some beautiful blocks which I'd love to try, but I'm determined that I must finish what I started first. I want to try this one: http://www.leighlaurelstudios.com/my-blog/2014/12/fair-isle.html
