How often do you see your (adult) children when they're not living with you?

I'm thinking of people who don't live very far apart from each other.

I live 5 miles from my mum (I'm 22) and I aim to see her once or twice a week. Sometimes less, sometimes more. It just depends how busy we both are.

I've seen her more recently as my childhood dog died two weeks ago so she and my stepdad have this new found freedom and not a lot to do with it.

Before I had my children, I saw my parents probably once a month - I am in South London, they are in North London - but now it is every other week.

Not all that familiar with London. How far apart do you live and/or how long would it take you to travel there?

My sister lives up the road and visits most weeks. Mostly because she wants feeding or wants something else...

I'm 42 - live about 10 miles away from my parents and see them at least once a week.

One of my daughters is living with me at the moment so every day, the other daughter lives 10 minutes away and I see her 3/4 times a week my son lives abroad and we see him as often as we can probably 3/4 times a year.

I live about an hours drive from my dad and step mum. I see them every 6 weeks or so. We do stay in very regular contact and up to date with each others lives via phone, email, facebook etc.

I see my mum 2-3 times a week, we live in the same town, we speak on the phone most days.

I see my mum 4-5 times a week.

I see my Mum and Dad weekly usually unless there is a birthday or something special - they live 10 miles away now. When they lived 300 miles away it was every 2 months-ish in the school hols but we stayed for 3-7 days. I see my adult daughter who lives 5 miles away about once a week or sometimes two weeks if they are away at the weekend. I see student daughter (300 miles away) about three times a year when she comes home.
