    They can be either.

Not really sure what the standard is, my bad even with 15 years in the trade.

But then again 3ft6 beds are quite rare and not a "normal" size as such.

  • hello again, Pinkypants we have bought a single bed restus cashmere for my daughter we are happy with how it feels but notice if I lay near the edge it feels like I will slide off, will the hand side stitching prevent this on the diamond collection mattress? also how does the cashmere & crystal compare to you? sorry for so many questions:o I still want to buy the opal but you don't know that one but im guessing it will be same/ similar to the crystal many thanks again

The Cashmere is very gentle compared to the Crystal, which is one of the reasons for the falling of the edge sensation.

Yes the hand side stitching will help prevent this, that's it's main job, it toughens up the boarder of the mattress.

As for quality the Diamond collection is their top end models.

The Cashmere is nearer the bottom of their standard range, as they do other models too in the standard range, a 1000 pillow top with hand side stitching. The cashmere, then a 1500 pocket and a 2000 pocket too.

    Hope that helps a little.

    Morning Pinkypants,

After some of your expert advice :) I came across a gread deal on a mattress via groupon, I went onto the company website 'Happy Beds' and they seem to have some good prices on the superking mattresses.

I know its a big ask but if you get a minute are you able to have a look to see if any of these are good or not? realy appreciate your help...

  • hey all been very interesting reading here, i'm hoping you guys may be able to help me,
We've been recently looking for a bed and went into bensons, they have a lovely connoisseur zip and link superking that they're selling off the display model of, i have trawled online to find reviews etc but pulled up very little on them, the bed itself seems ideal being zip and link so we can both have different firmnesses,
Now, it's still a lot of money for us (£700) so before we try and take the plunge just hoping to have some feedback if at all possible? the bed is in the store so no waiting around for ages for delivery etc
    many thanks!!:A

Not knowing the product at all and hate recommending any of the big sheds.

But by reading the spec, it does seem a good price. Unless of course their current online prices are pre sale prices.

thanks for that :) the price is a one off for a bed in store, the other in there (different colour) is up for the full price, it's reassured me a little though! thank you

    Hi,

I'm not familiar with the company, but I recently did some research on them and they are, in my opinion a manufacturer selling direct to the public and cutting out the middle man, I.E us retailers.

I looked about 3 months ago and from memory the prices were a lot cheaper.

    Just seen this....

    http://www.happybeds.co.uk/mattresses/signature-crystal-3000-orthopaedic-mattress-8808?size=74

    £900 for a double mattress.

    or this

same mattress for just £279 from the same company!!!

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Happy-Beds-Signature-Crystal-3000-Orthopaedic-Mattress-Pocket-Spring-Organic-New-/201025646343?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Mattresses&var=500226756114&hash=item2ece0fef07

    Not very ethical.

Can't comment on the quality of the product as I never seen, touched, jumped, lifted or even tried them in the past.

If you are thinking of buying from them I'd suggest the ebay route.

Note. Their Crystal is NOT the same as the Restus Crystal mattress that I keep mentioning.
