If not is there a John Lewis reward scheme that would help me shave something off the price?

Not a lot of people seem to know but John Lewis has a VERY LARGE Outlet Shop. On my last visit all the mattress were 50% off and honest truth they had the mattress you were after for £500. Before anyone gets overly excited a lot is ex-demo ie been on the shop floor or has slight cosmetic damage. Some of the mattress's were dual tension ie firm on one side soft on the other.

They also had lots of Sofa's and general furnature at up to 60% off. Fridge/freezers, washing machines, dishwashers cookers and TV's are only 30% off but lots of Miele where you normally get sod all discount. Some still in delivery packaging others used customer returns but lots of choice!

    Have fun!

    How do I add images?

I had excellent service from the company, I rang and placed my order requested a delivery date, it came on that date perfectly wrapped and protected, immaculate looking mattress. Hope this helps

This is very very very cheap!

Normal retail price for a 5ft is around £599, I've personally sold it for more and still think it's worth every penny.

I've just been reading this thread, as I too was in John Lewis today and would like to know if I can find out who makes the bed I like and whether I can get it cheaper elsewhere.

As background it will go onto a slated base and looking for a super king size.

The one that was most comfortable for me was the John Lewis Pocket Ortho 1200.

Also, I see lots of good reviews here for the Restus Crystal 3000 (and that ebay price is quite appealing) but I bought my current mattress online without trying it (it was an earlier MSE recommendation) and I find it somewhat hard.

Sorry I don't, but reading the description of the mattress it say "ReActive" pocket springs.

The ReActive part is a brand name for Hypnos's springs, most companies want to try and make their pocket springs sounds different from the "bog" standard pocket spring so to speak. The reality and in practice a pocket spring is a pocket spring.

So at a guess I'd say Hypnos, but it is only a guess.

Your guess is probably better than mine.

I wish I could the Restus Crystal that everyone is happy with here, but I can't seem to find any retailers in or around London.
