John Lewis mattress-cheaper equivalent????

Options
Hello there,
We are really desperate for a new mattress, to the point that we wake up with our backs in agony :(
So we got rid of our king size and currently sleeping on the double size mattress from our spare room, not ideal.

I did say that the next mattress I will buy would be a good quality one that will last a few years and offer us a good night's kip.

I am thinking of this one but I cannot bring myself to pay that much especially as we're embarking on a new house reno project.

Any experts out there? could I buy an equivalent anywhere else cheaper? If not is there a John Lewis reward scheme that would help me shave something off the price?
Keen on natural fibres no synthetic.
Thank you :)

This one here is a beast of mattress, not such much natural fillings as the John Lewis but still very good.

I'm recommending the product NOT the supplier, you'll have to google for cheapest price.

Either that or contact the guys here......http://www.factory-beds-direct.co.uk/

and see what they can come up with.

5000 springs is a hell of a lot of springs, even the Crystal at 3000 is overkill, but the hand side stitching and overall quality makes it a good buy.

  • Thank you Pinkypants, is this mattress manufactured by restus ? I am getting confused searching for just crystal 3000 and going by the photos only the one made by restus looks like the one in your link.

I found myself in the same boat recently wanting the best possible mattress on a tiny budget. I managed to get the most amazing Hypnos mattress manufactured for John Lewis via the Crendon furniture outlet (check their webpage which will link you to their ebay store). Was thrilled with what i got for the money i paid !!!

I can recommend them. I went for a superking zip&link (partly as mattresses get VERY heavy with large numbers of springs)

The website makes educational reading as well...
  • Thank you Iwanna can I please ask which one did you go for ?

Do Crendon furniture have a showroom where you can actually try out mattresses?
  • I don't know much about mattresses ... but that strikes me as a lot.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who starts by sorting by 'price - low to high' and then finds a decent brand/product without spending too much.

Fantastic thank you, managed to get a king for £378. Hard to believe I am just hoping it will be good, however for that price I can keep it as a spare.
I really appreciate your help Pinky :j I saved a nice tidy sum !!!
