Guardian angels don't like people who are unlucky, obviously

Your personal yang, your 'luckiness quota' also governs how attractive you are to Guardian angels.

Or - !!!!! happens, some people are lucky, others aren't. The people who are the most cautious, and who service their brakes the most, are often the luckiest

If guardian angels do exist, I hope yours tracks down the Range Rover driver and gives him a swift punch in the knackers.

I don’t know to be honest!

I definitely believe that when your card is marked there is nothing you can do about it and I also like to believe that there is something after death as I hate to think its really as boring as you’re born, you live, you die – game over!
I believe in ghosts and spirits too. I know that there are a lot that don’t but hey, if we were all the same it would be boring!

I don't, I believe one makes one's own luck, usually through being thoughtful, prudent and having or developing common sense.

That's almost as deluded as any belief in Guardian Angels.

Arbitrary random chance has much more of an impact on our lives than most of us would like, you literally never know what tomorrow might look like or how suddenly your whole world can change.

Luck, good or bad, is merely a form of coincidence. We would regard a person who matches all six numbers on the lottery as incredibly lucky, yet in reality they are merely a victim of coincidence. The outcome of the lottery draw and the purchase of the winning ticket are two distinct events that we tie together and call it luck.

We might describe it as "lucky" that the OP survived but if anyone were able to recreate the exact accident conditions, I bet a physicist could explain to you why she survived with relatively minor injuries.

If I flip a coin and correctly guess which side it lands on, it's just a coincidence. It's not an outside force called "luck" helping me.

Human brains have been proven to struggle with comprehending coincidence so construct artificial parameters to make sense of coincidence.

There are no such things as angels, guardian or otherwise. Nor do dead people watch over anyone, basically because they are dead. They are simply figments of one's imagination, just like fairies, ghosts, spirits and of course gods.

This has absolutely nothing to do with any imaginary fairies and it is delusional to pretend that it does.

and of course you have concrete evidence to prove this which you will post on here to prove what people have been trying to prove or discount for hundreds of years ?

no one knows for sure and i dont think they will any time soon.
belief is a very personal thing but personally i do believe that there is help if you need it and ask for it. and i dont think there is any harm in the OP believing her mother is watching out for her provided she doesnt deliberately put herself in danger because of it.

the way i justify in my own mind why some people do and some people dont get help is this.
    1) you need to need it
    2) you need to ask for it consciously or subconsciously.
    3) you need to believe it
    4) there needs to be a way to help
    5) divine intervention wont cause detriment to anyone else either now or in the future.
    6) you need to say thank you for the help

lots of you are telling the OP theres no such thing as guardian angels then mentioning 'luck' what actually is luck, good things that happen to you without explanation, being in the right place at the right time, not receiving life threatening injuries in an accident that possibly should of caused them. food for thought.
iv done 3 things right in my life and their all perfect

Wouldn't have made a difference to my accident - no one else involved, just a slippy road, so if I had have been doing 10mph faster probably wouldn't have walked away so easily.

I think what mgdavid means is, for example, when you get offered a great new job or if you've got a good figure or if you go on a once in a lifetime trip and people say "aren't you so lucky" but actually its more your actions/behaviours which have led to these things happening.
