Yes, definitely. My own mother watches over myself and my sister and there have been some really odd happenings (or signs) when I've been really really upset. I also believe that animals can be our guardian angels (I know, I hear the cuckoo noises LOL!) but I don't say this lightly, only based on things that have happened. Up to us each how we interpret things and whether we believe.

Hope they get that other driver - what a schmuck for not stopping - unfortunately it's drivers like that who really make me detest 4x4 drivers.

This is like saying you hate everyone in a green car because you once almost got hit by a green car.

I'm another one who thinks it's crazy random happenstance rather than guardian angels.

A few of my friends were in a car accident when we were kids, one walked away with nothing but a scratch on his thumb and another never walked again. I think it's far more likely to be pure good/bad luck rather than one of them having some divine intervention while the other one didn't.

It's posts like this that really make me detest posters. :rotfl:

I've owned a vast range of makes of cars and 4x4s, including BMW (without functioning indicators) I must be massively despised :D

I really hope the driver of the vehicle causing the accident gets prosecuted though, he/she must have seen you leave the road, you could have been killed (guardian angel aside) and they just carried on. Really sad.

    Speedy recovery!
  • Nope, sorry, i don't believe. My wife works in A&E and rarely sees fatalities from car accidents.

The car was wrecked? Great, its meant to do that. Cars are not designed to be 'strong', but to absorb all the impact rather than pass it onto you.

Glad you made it out and hope your shoulder is ok

In a word "Yes" and am very thankful for it. I have had more than one instance over the (many) years I have been here where I have had "help" from him/her/them/who knows and personally I am very very thankful and fully appreciate it.:A

I could quote an instance where I am pretty darn certain that a burglary of a home of mine has been prevented by them. I could quote other instances where I have "just happened" to be exactly where I needed to be at exactly the time I needed to be for things to work out for the best for me.

As far as I am concerned personally, I'm just trying to learn to "tune in better" to what they are saying to me...because I'm absolutely certain I have been helped in a very real and concrete way on more than one occasion and I am seriously thankful for it.

Personally, I function in a very practical hands-on/Real World sorta way and this does not tie in with things like that...but there are enough incidents in my own personal life by now that I have come to realise "there are more things in heaven and earth.....etc....etc" as the phrase goes and just say "Thanks for the help" by now when it happens.
  • People's standard of living have certainly gone up thankfully over the last 60 years, but the evil in the world seems to have gone up too.
It's getting harder to believe in Guardian Angels when confronted with daily knife attacks, etc.
Regardless there is also a lot of good in the world as well & I have believed in Guardian Angels for a long time. I think they can speak through other people near you.
As for the roads as other posters have said cars are made to be safe. Personally I have no wish to buy a fast car so will be looking for something slow, modern cars can be hard to live with as they are pretty instant - too fast for me.
Glad you are okay, a good time for you to reflect on life's priorities.

I wouldn't have thought there was much point in taking dead people to A&E.
