Do you believe in guardian angels?

  • People's standard of living have certainly gone up thankfully over the last 60 years, but the evil in the world seems to have gone up too.
It's getting harder to believe in Guardian Angels when confronted with daily knife attacks, etc.
Regardless there is also a lot of good in the world as well & I have believed in Guardian Angels for a long time. I think they can speak through other people near you.
As for the roads as other posters have said cars are made to be safe. Personally I have no wish to buy a fast car so will be looking for something slow, modern cars can be hard to live with as they are pretty instant - too fast for me.
Glad you are okay, a good time for you to reflect on life's priorities.

I know it feels like that, but I really think it's just that we have more media coverage when bad things do happen. Evil has always (unfortuntely) existed.

But why? People walk away from accidents every day.

Exactly, and every day people who are less fortunate don't.

I think its probably quite common to have these sorts of thoughts after such a lucky escape, but if guardian angels do exist then I'd like to see a copy of their selection criteria for who gets 'guarded' because it seems completely arbitrary!

There are no such things as angels, guardian or otherwise. Nor do dead people watch over anyone, basically because they are dead. They are simply figments of one's imagination, just like fairies, ghosts, spirits and of course gods.

Whether you survive a car crash or not depends on all sorts of variables but all are governed by the laws of physics. Direction, speed, angle, and lots of other factors, including especially the way cars are constructed now to absorb the energy from a crash to protect you as well as possible. This has absolutely nothing to do with any imaginary fairies and it is delusional to pretend that it does.

Hope they get that other driver - what a schmuck for not stopping - unfortunately it's drivers like that who really make me detest 4x4 drivers.

What? All 4x4 drivers? I drive a 4x4 and I can assure you, we don't all drive like kn*bheads. It's like saying, I detest all people called Julie! ;)

Yep, where are the 'guardian angels' of poor little children who suffer years of abuse?

  • OP, I don't think anyone can say for sure, but yes, I really like to think there is. But like others have said, it's down to your quick reactions that it didn't have a very different outcome.

Glad you're ok, and I hope they get the other driver soon. What an idiot and a coward.

Just because bad things happen does mean there is no guardian angel.

Maybe the guardian angel cannot protect against human evil (abusers etc), but can protect against "bad luck" (eg: suffering serious injuries in a car crash).

I don't how it works, and don't really care - my guardian angel looks after me, I believe in her (Although I don't push my luck by driving like a maniac or anything)

Ah, so totally random as to who is going to get protection, but never the people who need it most. Interesting.

    What a load of BS.

So why do good people still die and suffer horrific injuries in car crashes that aren't their fault?

How can those angels live with themselves, do you think? I couldn't...
