Do you believe in guardian angels?

I think believing in a guardian angel is a nice comforting concept to believe in and I am really glad you are okay OP
I have been in situations where you could suggest a guardian angel looked after me, personally I believe in fate
We Bungee jumped in Zambia a few days before the rope snapped and a woman got hurt
We flew over the flight path MH17 did a few weeks before without a care in the world
We hot air ballooned in Egypt not long before that tragic accident
We have dived with tiger sharks, other sharks, stingrays etc with no consequence
It's called luck IMO0 -

I always used to think that they must have had a guardian angel. But now, I wonder about all the people who weren't so fortunate - where were their guardian angels? The majority were just ordinary, nice people at work.
But think of the thousands of people who worked in the towers, and the thousands tragically killed on that day. The likelihood is that amongst those thousands of people a number would have lost something, forgotten something, had an accident, their car broke down, etc, on that morning that meant they would have been late into the office and missed being involved in it.
On the flip side there would have been people that day who were maybe going on holiday so decided to get in a bit earlier than they would usually do that day, or who were going to work from home but on a whim decided to work from the office, etc that meant they were caught up in it when otherwise they would not have been.
It is just life and how things workout sometimes.0 -

Please do.
I don't believe in guardian angels but like most things in life if people find comfort in something like this then let them believe.
I do however believe in ghosts, I just don't think they protect us.0 -

I know, totally, that's why I no longer believe that they had a "guardian angel" that day.
In that dreadful hellish event (plenty of evidence online, but I saw their photos and what not knowing if they were dead or alive for over 24 hours (the attack knocked out the power in Manhattan and their phones/internet) did to their dad), literally the mere difference between turning left and turning right in one instant in a corridor or street made the difference between life and death.
In any event there are always miraculous stories of hope and survival - but they seem somewhat random to have been the acts of benevolent spirits or angels. Of course, I am always happy to be proved wrong.
What I DO have a MASSIVE problem with are conspiracy theorists (on any topic) - but I suspect that they are guided by 'spirits/angels' from another place altogether...
I do agree with you though, Fufu. It is just life and how it works out - which is why, if I see someone looking unwell or in trouble I ask them if they are OK or if they need a hand, just in case I might be their "difference between". But I am DEFINITELY not an angel, guardian or otherwise!;) xx

Seriously though, glad you are on the mend and that they got the driver. Are you OK in yourself?0 -

Getting behind the wheel again is going to be sketchy for me, i took the bus yesterday and i found myself holding the seat rail very tight every time we went around a corner cause i felt like it was going to roll. It was a very strange sensation
Maybe you and your OH can go to a supermarket car park and you can practice driving around there slowly for a while, to help your confidence a bit?
I know it will take a while and feel weird - that's normal. You'll be OK; remember it's still early days and it was a dreadful thing to have happened to you (or, indeed, anyone). Being nervous and apprehensive is nothing to be ashamed of.
All the best. xx0 -

Oops, sorry Chata - me neither! The airfield is a great idea - or, simply sitting in the car in your driveway with the seat belt on, not going anywhere, getting used just to being there and it being OK. And please don't worry if you freak out a few times; I know I would.
But you WILL get there - and it'll be fine. x0 -
I believe and i thank my angels xxx0
