Halo shining brightly, as I have cleaned the bathroom! Yes, odd day to do it, but I was only one up - grabbed my opportunity!

I've just been for my walk round the field, and now I think it's coffee time.

Healing vibes for you, Skinty, and the hope that your Ex-Mil doesn't chuck your freezer food this time.

Bossy, I think parents who teach their children that No means No are amazing and kind. We can't have everything we want in life, and the small lesson of watching his sister enjoy her treat will help Little Son learn that choices are complicated. He's a very lucky Little Son to have a strong-willed mother. (Our next door neighbour at the back is in her 70s and is a horrible, horrible person. She was spoilt and over-indulged as a child apparently and still thinks the world revolves around her as I know to my cost. I have yet to meet a single person who has ever had a kind or good word to say about her. How sad is that?)

Good luck vibes to CY's DD for the fun run today. Its such good news to hear how she's progressing. Fabby.

Another hot and sunny day here, so washing will be done. (They had 4cms of rain at Exeter Airport on Friday - hardly a drop here for weeks. Most odd.) I have a room to turn around for a lovely chap who normally stays for one week but this time will be staying for three. I'm going to have to retackle the Room of Doom as the futon is let to a newish permanent lodger a couple of nights a week who will be using the futon while said gentleman is here.
    Better is good enough.

    Hi all

Did ok yesterday, living room etc is sparkling! All floors throughout house done. Today after I finish work (3.30) I MUST do the bathroom and the kitchen surfaces. My bedroom and the spare room are desperate for dusting and decluttering, however the bathroom is going to move out if I don't clean it soon and the kitchen is driving me potty, so they have to come first. If the two bedrooms get left till next week then so be it, at least the floors are ok for now.

    Afternoon all.

Shopping has arrived and is mostly put away (last few bits require me climbing to put them on top of the cupboard for Christmas), now got to work my way though a mountain of washing as both beds have been stripped. Going to write my to do list for next week, I think I have 3 free days where I can concentrate on the DIY in the livingroom before loosing Thursday to work and Friday to errand running since DD has an inset day. I haven't managed to do much DIY based since DD went back to school on the 3rd :o

Off to juggle washing, put the end of the shopping away and then on with my lists.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Shower room and ktichen s/and/s-ed, superking turned around, WM x 1 completed and hung out, OH has run the baby-dy$on around two layers of the house, dog walked thrice, and the bigger dy$son has sort of conked out - the motor's working fine but it's just not tackling sewing detritus or dog hair. Grr.

Hand-held vacuum thingy will have to do the stairs and a filter will be have to be extracted from the bigger machine for attention.
    Better is good enough.
