Going to bake a cake now as promised for DS3 and a big pot of soup as nearly all the tomatos I've had on the window ledge have ripened. I'll take a flask of that to Mum to in the hope she'll drink it.

I skinned the tomatoes by covering in boiling water for about 90 seconds then cut them into quarters. I also used a tin of chopped as I only had ten tomatoes.
I gently fried off a small onion a stick of celery and a potato for about ten minutes all chopped up first, you get a lot of flavour by doing this, you can add garlic if you like it. Then I added the fresh tomatoes and bashed them about a bit. Then added the tinned. I used some Vege stock made from them knorr stock pots and water. Then just let it simmer. I did throw in a rind off the parmesan. Twenty minutes later I removed the rind and wizzed up the soup. I sometimes add a tsp sugar and a little balsamic.yesterday I stirred in the remains of the cream cheese with garlic and herbs.
Just experiment with flavours you like.
