Morning flyladies, I'm back from my week in LW's neck of the woods. Have only had a quick skim of the thread so nothing has sunk in but good to see the thread is supportive as ever.
So far today, I have had breakfast, cooked for and fed the dogs, washed up, ordered flowers for SILs birthday as forgot about a card. Need to remember sympathy card when shopping later - there's nothing quite like coming back to bad news
My list:
Catch up with washing (including unpacking)
Get dressed
Walk dogs via garage to arrange car service
Go shopping (including restocking freezer - DD left door open)
Hoover through house
Water lettuces in greenhouse
Anything else I can get done from proper lists
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all. another overcast day in York this morning - pity, I have 4 washloads at least to get dry.
Nice early start here - DD2 off to the last day of her course - these 6 day weeks have wiped her out ( work Mon-Fri then all day course on Sat) Still she can sit and chill at the last cricket match tomorrow...
Skinty - if you are reading this hugs and spoons and coping vibes and the karma bus being sent to you from Yorkie Towers. Glad the op is over, finally.
Pigpen - know you don't do hugs - so I'm just dispatching positive thoughts your way. Plus the karma bus. Actually you probably need the karma tank to put KH in his place once and for all. (is a karma tank a contradiction in terms?)
LW - glad to hear the kitchen is in and you are still in one piece.
HB - glad to hear of your cats recovery.
Ionafan - hope the knees have calmed down now...
I won't be around next week - we are Monday to Friday in Filey. When I say we I mean me, DH and DD1. We are hoping that DD2 and DS will cope..... I already know that wi-fi is only available in the pub on site, and if I am in the pub I don't think I will be prioritising the internet! None of us have smart phones so apart from the odd text we should be technology free. I'm taking some books and looking to chill.
For those who have known me a long time and have heard all about DD1 and her struggle with ME I have some positive news. She has been working as a relief manager for the local hospice in it's charity shops since January. She passed her 6 months probation with flying colours and now has 2 guaranteed days a week - but she will probably get more than that. Well tomorrow she is taking part in a colour fun run over 5K for the hospice and the local children's hospice. You start with a white T shirt and they throw colour at you as you go round. By the end you get covered, but you do end up with a unique fashion item at the end of it! Fingers crossed.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
CY - Good luck to DD1 for the fun run.
I am dressed, unpacking is done and suitcase put away. All beds made, rubbish brought down from upstairs. First of five washloads on the go, will all need to dry indoors.
Dog walk next after a cuppa.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
it took some prising out, lol, had to get something that could reach. Thankfully it was a dry one
Floors all done - for the first time in 2wksalthough I had done the downstairs loo floor in between, but hall, kitchen and dining room were minging. I've been well looked after since my op but no-one has got round to doing the floors
took two covers for the steam mop...
Time for a shower and to get dressed, methinks.
Next time slurp up a wet one *snigger... * it will clean inside the hose for you lol.
Kaz .. ty.. do you know any hitmen who work for cake or pies??
CY ... karma tank may be pushing it.. we could have a convoy of buses though.. that would work and if 1 missed the rest still stand a chance!!
dryer on.. It has been grotty here all week so no washing drying and now I have loads to get through.. OH may do doing lots of pegging out. He glued my winter boots last nightthey were separating from the sole
Cuppa and a spot of knitting in order!
I hope my 9mm circular needles arrive this morning I am desperate to make a start on the cocoon for DD1's tiny. Wrist warmers nearly done but I need to locate my 'safely put away' 3mm circular!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning All
Having a go at gutting my BR today so we'll see how it goes. Thinking I'll empty the wardrobe of all the clothes that don't fit me as well and put them away. Hopefully I'll fit in some of them soon as my new charge is keeping me on my toes and starts full time next week!
Piggers - you know where I am if you want to rant even if I don't get on here very often.
Have a good day all

hello
I AM flying. I now have a sparkly kitchen. Haven't emptied DW this morning because I haven't USED it yet. There are no longer enough pots to run it every day because there's only me (and the cats and the bunny). I have pegged out washing.
Benny Bunny's hutch has been cleaned and I climbed in the run and moved it up the garden - in the hope he'll chomp some weeds and grass (aka lawn). Minging cat tray emptied, washed and drying outside and that's as far as I have got.
I'm planning on removing carp form DR (into DS's room pro tem) and cleaning that, and the bathroom. I may also do my room and put my new bargainous jaquard quilt set on (£7.50 in Mr T - woot!) the bed.
TYVM for the news re Skinty Ionofan and pass on my good wishes too, if you're in contact again, please.

Pigpen - love the knitting!
Did some gardening in the sunshine on Thursday, and overtired myself, so have had to rest again. Tidied quite a bit in my bedroom on Wednesday though, and will whisk the vacuum around downstairs later.
Daughter registered at uni this morning - so proud of her working so hard over the last two years to get necessary entry requirements. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
