Your contract with Orange is a normal contract with them which continues as any other normal contract. It has nothing to do with where it came from.

    Hi,

Apologies if this has already been covered in a previous post.

I took out a 24 month mobile orange contract (via Dial-a-phone) a few weeks before they announced administration. It appears that I have lost my £150 cash-back redemption.

As far as I can gather, Orange (EE) will honour contacts to Sept 2015. What will happen after that date, will I be able to leave the contact early? Who owns the hand-set?

    Thanks in advance.

You own the handset, you have a 24 month contract with Orange that you need to continue with.

The retailer, and any promised cashback is a totally seperate issue, whether you get it or not is nothing to do with Orange.

  • I took my phone in for repair on the 14/09/14 to a phones 4 u store, it is now the 5th January 2015 and i have still not received my phone back after numerous phone calls to the customer service number (how long does it take to package up and send out a phone that they say they have?), PWC have now closed the customer service so I no longer have anyone to contact to find out about getting my phone back. Every time I did phone up they just kept pushing back the date when i would get my phone back. Who am I supposed to contact now to get my phone back?

The same has happened to me. Took my phone to shop on 15th September. Despite repeated calls and promised delivery dates I still have not received my phone. I contacted the repair centre and was told that the Couriers who collected the phones have not passed them on to the repair centre until they are paid so I do not know where it is. I have had to take out a second contract to have another phone but still paying for the missing one until November 2015. I have sent a claim to PWC but have not received an acknowledgement. It seem so wrong that I have to pay out £400 for a phone that I do not have through no fault of mine.

I have managed to get in contact with PWC and they have stated that all of the phones they had were sent out in the first couple of weeks in December, why I wasn't told this by the phones 4 u customer service team when I phoned them on the 22nd December when they said that my phone had not been sent out and i should get it by the 29th December. I was told that phones are no longer being sent out so if you haven't received yours back you wont be getting it.

I bet our phones are still in the shop!
  • I took out a contract with vodafone through phones4u. I returned the phone before the 2 week grace period and cancelled contract in store a few days before phones4u went I to admin. When I phoned vodafone to try and get my pac code to retain my old number I was told that the contract had not been cancelled and I needed to cancel through phones4u, rang them, phones4u told me I needed to contact vodafone. Eventually vodafone cancelled the contract...or so I thought. I have now gotten a final payment notice for not keeping up payments on my "cancelled" contract with the threat of debt collection agency visiting if I don't payby the end of the week. I have just spent 2 hours (spoke to 16 different people) on the phone to vodafone to be told that they can't do anything and I must ring phones4u. I am just being sent round in circles and getting no joy. How do I get this problem resolved?

Friend recently told me he received an unsolicited HTC phone sent to him by P4U just days before firm collapsed. Turned out it was a scam in his name but he never fell for it. It was supposed to be on a vodafone contract but he got that was cancelled (it was his name but a fake bank account....). He spoke to P4u who said they would send him a returns envelope but they went broke before it arrived. Since then it has been sitting in a box in his shed unused while he wonders what to do with it, Is it usable, will it need unlocking?

Strictly speaking it should be sent back to the administrators as it is an asset of Phones4u as it stands.
If they don't get it back it may eventually be blacklisted if it hasn't already been done.
It's not just about the money
