Phones 4U collapses into administration

Basically, to cut a very long story short, I purchased a contract from Dial a Phone for an IPhone using the vodaphone network. I had reservations as to whether the network would work in our village and was given reassurance that it would. I had NO network coverage in most of the house and similarly when I was out working. I contacted dial a phone on the 2nd day and advised them of this and stated that I wished to end the contract and return the phone. They provided me with an address to return the phone to. My wife sent the phone back recorded delivery. Now I want a PAC code from Vodaphone as the number is registered as my business and personal line. Vodaphone wont give me this as they are saying that no one from Dial a Phone has been in touch. I have contacted Dial a Phone and they are saying that they have contacted Vodaphone on several occasions advising them that they have the phone back. Vodaphone are denying receiving anything from Dial a Phone. Vodaphone will issue me with a PAC code but I will have to pay £650 which I am refusing to do. I am losing business as my clients have my old number and cannot contact me. Help please!:mad:0

Contact the Vodafone WRT on here (see Vodafone complaints thread for the link and instructions). They may well help (the rest of Vodafone is a complete waste of time and Phones4 are not likely to sort it out in their situation.0

Hi James McGoarty,
Thanks for making me aware of this.
As suggested by mobilejunkie, email me with your details via the link in our profile here so I can look into things further.
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me, quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line.
Once sent, you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Post back with this and I’ll check I've received it.
Kind regards,
Lee

from ofcoms website, Vodafone also refused to give me a pac code, looks like it was not a one off and still continues!!
The only reasons why a provider can refuse to give a PAC are:- the number does not belong to the customer of the losing mobile provider
- the account for that number has been terminated
- the account holder has died
- a PAC has already been issued and is still valid
- the customer has not adequately proved that he or she is the legitimate account holder.

Made my weekly call and was told that PWC started going to the shops on Wednesday, the London stores are first then they will work round to the other stores. I explained that my local store is on the list of ones that have not been taken over. I was told that I would be phoned before Wednesday regarding dispatch of my phone to me. I have notified Apple as the one year warranty expires in November. I will try to be optomistic but I have been told the same for the last two weeks when I have phoned.
Hi just phoned phones4u head office to be told that administrators say will get phones back to customers within 6 weeks of last Wednesday/Thursday. So yet another "promise".
Well ,myself I think the administrators are quite capable of extending that deadline to suit them in which case I too will have a phone out of warranty. I was told I could make a claim via the administrators website for any losses( eg contract fees) but what are the chances of receiving anything.... ? It's exasperating.0 -
Hi guys so after cancelling my jump contracts with phones 4 u I've had a letter about the cancelled direct debit, I was told I could cancel the direct debit due to them no longer being able to up hold their end of the contract ie I cannot upgrade with them. Unfortunately I no longer have the phones that I had on the contracts,
Where do I stand with this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated0 -
