Was in Apple store Saturday looking at 6 and 6 plus. On my iPhone 4 I use the loudspeaker to listen to speech programmes. Tried playing some speech programmes on BBC iPlayer on the 6 plus in the store, sound quality seemed shrill and raspy compared to the 4.

And I suggest there is another type of Apple user. Those that have had them for a few years, don't know about the competition which has caught up and now beats them especially in price!

Is suggest yet another type. Those who simply prefer iOS to android.

And here's a complete shocker. Not everyone wants the same in a phone. Not everyone uses a phone in the same way. I always find it baffling that people can't accept that other just like something simply because they don't. They feel they need to justify why they don't like a certain thing whilst slagging those who do. Apple users who use the old 'just because you can't afford it' crap and android users who use the pointless 'iSheep buying over expensive crap' argument. People seem to be completely unable to understand that just because they don't like something (iPhones), or prefer a certain thing (android phones) that not everyone feels the same way.

It's not that they all don't know about the competition. Like wasting cash or believe the apple hype etc. They plainly and simply, want an iPhone.

Fact is some people simply prefer iOS just as some simply prefer android and some simply prefer windows. And I fail to see why the fans of those operating systems can't just accept that and get a grip. I fail to see why they just HAVE to try and get digs in and slate the other choices. It's pathetic.

Well said, I much prefer the operation of iOS, I use a Note 3 running Android 4.4.2 and an iPhone (5s until last week, now a 6).

If I had to choose one phone, it would be the iPhone.

Does anyone have an idea of when MSE will update its tool with the iPhone 6 tariffs? I normally upgrade with O2, but I'm holding out this time to see what other offers are available.

I bought a Nokia Lumia 900 in May of 2012, just a few weeks before Nokia announced Windows 8 (which my 'new' phone was not compatible with!)

I had always loved Nokia until then but as I now have an iPad, an iPhone 6 64GB really appeals.....

I know that they are expensive, and I don't really need one, but the convenience of synching everything to the iPad, having my iTunes catalogue on me and, in my opinion, the 64GB 6 being better value than a 5s 32GB for £120 more - it's on my list.

ios, android, Windows - each to their own, live and let live :-)

doesnt it depend on the settings at all? sometimes on gadgets you can reduce quality settings to increase battery life.

With Android you can add an app that adjusts the sound of all sources, streaming, Spotify, your MP3s. Does it intelligently depending on if you are using speaker, earphones etc. Not so on IOS where Apple blocks this, with a basic tone control possible on music played through the IOS music player only.

Well, I have an iPhone 5, 4, and 3S, I also have a Samsung Ace 2 Android, and I had a Nokia 520 Windows phone with my last job.

The Nokia was just awful, everything bad as bad could be, and I bought the iPhone 4 with my own money and swapped the SIM from the work supplied phone.

The Samsung is OK but a bit clunky and feels like it has been chucke3d together by a bunch of techies, the battery sometimes doesn't charge, and apps which have no need for it want to share your details.

The iPhone 5 is just plain the best. (I guess the 5S is a little better all-round.)

I had a look at an iPhone 6 on the weekend and to me it is a bit too big for my preference, so I've no imperative to upgrade from my 5.

However, I have just started a new job and they have temporarily given me an iPhone 5, pending deployment of iPhone 6 in a couple of weeks time.

So I guess I'm going to find out if I like the 6 then!
