New phones don't really seem to offer anything new. The watch looks interesting. More classic Apple tactics to require the watch user to have an iPhone 5 though.

Unfortunately it means we are going to be bombarded with that horrific, cringeworthy phrase "wearable tech."

I'm interested in the larger model, iPhone6+, due to the increased battery life. They've only slightly improved it on just the 6.
I never wanted to have the big version, but I might just have to consider it for that battery life extension, its nearly twice as much I think! Just a space issue in there it seems.

I want to know what the unlocked prices are to buy outright, they've only mentioned contract prices, I don't know yet if this means we have to wait longer to get be able to buy outright? Because this is what I want to do, and go sim only.

According to the MSE article, it's the other way round.
    iPhone 6 prices (including VAT)

    £539 for the 16GB model
    £619 for the 64GB model
    £699 for the 128GB model
iPhone 6 Plus prices (including VAT)

    £619 for the 16GB model
    £699 for the 64GB model
    £789 for the 128GB model
The UK contract price plans haven't been revealed. We'll let you know as soon as we hear anything and we will update our iPhone comparison tool accordingly.

Well, I watched the live event and they only announced contract prices in $. So I'm not sure where Nick Durrant has got his info from, perhaps it is given out to media, or the more likely Nick guessed the prices based on past history.

I did the same though and those prices sound about right.

Really unsure which I'm going to go for, I'm getting one of them. I feel like I'd prefer to have more than 16GB for once, and I want extra battery life but not really the bigger size, I'm not for walking around with a tablet in my pocket :o

Why not buy both online from Apple and return one of them within 14 days for a full refund? I'm also torn between the 6 and 6+ so i'll order both on the 12th and have a good play with both and return the one i don't like for size/battery life.
    PS
Just sold my 5S for nearly £400 on avforums.com :p
  • Good to see that the MSE team say that the iphone is not very MSE.

Not that much of an improvement from the 5S but god do I want one! Does anyone know if Apple will be offering 0% apr on sim free handsets over 6 months?

Great idea, just don't know if I can spare that much cash up front for a short amount of time. But I definitely shall try..
So they'll surely be selling them on their own store on release day then?

Yeah they'll be available to buy in-store from 19th onwards but whether they have enough stock is anyones guess. Best to pre-order online on 12th.
