  • I see there are still problems. Since my last post I have managed to have a conversation with Kate at Affiliate Window who said the problem lay with an administration error on the part of M&S. Basically no money in the pot, whether this is correct or not I am not really interested in the ' who has or has not done what'. Like everyone else I just want what was agreed and am not prepared to let go! I have prepared a log of the passage of emails and have kept all emails. I also have a gift card from Kate, I received this about 2 weeks ago but there is no money on it so I would advise people not to take it for granted that there are monies on their card, but well done if there are. I have also given MSE a hard time, it's not Directly their fault but it doesn't look good for them when the deal was done through their site. My last conversation with Kate last week was that she was dealing with it asap but my asap and their asap are poles apart!
Anyway I have emailed again and copied Dave into it. I suggest you don't give in, I don't know if there will be a resolution, but this debarcle is the stuff of Watchdog.
  • Hi,

Instead of applying for the deal online I called sky and they told me they were unable to offer me the M&S voucher over the phone. So I told them I didn't have access to the deal online and after abit of pushing and shoving they decided they could offer me £20 credit.

So I pushed a little more, left some awkward silences in and he spoke to his manager whom agreed a £50 credit :).

However, one week had passed with no credit at all added to my account. 3 calls with sky promising the credit will be added as the sales operator had noted the credit on the system and still nothing.

One final call with a threat to leave and wouldn't you know it the £50 credit was added whilst I was still on the phone.

Divide 50 over 12 months and take it off the line rental you end up with £12.23 line rental and unlimited broadband :j
  • Just to let you know I have at last received my £92 M&S voucher today after approx six weeks worth of emails and two telephone conversations. The whole process hasn't been good and a definite lesson learned. All I can say to others is don't give up it was part of the deal and isn't a gift.

    Good luck!
  • Firstly - I don't understand why people are blaming this site (MSE) for this. They published the promotion in good faith. It is AffiliateWindow that are not fulfilling it.

I am in the same situation as others here... I signed up to this deal in September purely because of the £192 in vouchers. I got the email from AffiliateWindow saying I would receive these and indeed the £100 M&S voucher came quite quickly. However I am still waiting for the £92 voucher from AffiliateWindow. I've sent several emails - the first 2 or 3 were answered but now nothing. I was told on the 8th Jan that my order hadn't 'tracked correctly' and that my voucher has now been ordered and that I would be sent an update. I followed up via email on the 26th Jan, 31st Jan and also today (3rd Feb) but have received no response. This to me is even worse then them not fulfilling the original deal. No self-respecting company should just ignore its customers or those it has entered an agreement with.

Has anyone considered taking AffiliateWindow to Small Claims Court? They have presumably profited from hundreds (maybe thousands) of people signing up to this Sky deal through them. If they haven't administered this correctly in some way then that should not be our fault and they still need to keep to the terms of the deal. The lack of information and updates from them just makes the situation worse.
  • Another one here who is livid. Just the same as the others, Affiliate Windows is not keeping their end of the deal. Absolutely abysmal and frankly I am concerned about using MSE again - I have been really shocked by this. I sent my details to MSE and they just forwarded them to Affliliate Windows, same as I had already done myself. Claimed to fight for the vouchers to help you but so far have received no help at all. No doubt MSE made money out of this deal too?

I see that some people have been getting vouchers in the last week or so. Well I have been promised a voucher by end of last week but no joy.

Come on MSE, so much for 'consumer revenge'!
"One owl, get outta here! Two owls - now thats a party!"

  • MSE could simply have warned Sky that they will no longer recommend or mention their products on their website, and Sky would soon have complied and paid us our vouchers as promised. Instead we have been forced to do all our own chasing - too much stress in my view.

You do realize it's nothing to do with Sky? Did they agree to send you the additional £92 worth of M&S vouchers?
  • I think if you subcontract out your work, you are still responsible for delivering it, but I can't be certain.

It's hard to tell now as there is no affiliate link in the original tips email (see the tips email from 03-09-2014 - I can't post the link here as I'm a new user).

And the link that the tip passes through to, doesn't have the deal listed anymore as it's expired.

However, once again it is Affiliate Window who are not fulfilling the terms of the deal. If MSE linked to Tesco's and you ordered a product that was not delivered, would it be MSE's fault?

Great. Then I'll sell you Sky broadband for a year for £100. But when I don't deliver make sure to complain to Sky!
