I'm not sure if you're being deliberately argumentative but please don't take things out of context and confabulate two things I said. Again - my Sky comment was with regard to the £92 voucher someone had not received from AffiliateWindow. And my other comment was wrt to people damning MSE for this. You may disagree. That's up to you.
Sky fulfill the £100 voucher and AW fulfill the £92 voucher. If they don't deliver then I recommend you take it up with the respective organizations. If you want to take it up with MSE then feel free. Please let us know what happens as it could be a valid route for people to go down if they are in a similar situation.RichieNotRich wrote: »and your stupid comparisons
Apologies, but I have another one (ok, not really a comparison...):
If you did (just suppose) make a small court claim for the £100 voucher you haven't received, would you fill in the paperwork against MSE? Or against Sky? Just curious.RichieNotRich wrote: »You clearly have not carried out adequate research as the information regarding the original offer is on this very website. Here, I'll help you
moneysavingexpert.com/phones/cheap-broadband#troubleprevious3It does indeed say posted. I don't recall anything like that and never received mine through the post. So thanks - I was curious where that came from. It does quite clearly say "There was a £100 voucher sent by post from Sky".

I cannot find anything in the original offer state a time limit on redeeming the voucher.</joke>

Pot...meet kettle!
I'm pleased that you accept my comment.Sky fulfill the £100 voucher
or not, in my case.I presume it's stupid as you can't think of a good counter-argument?
No...it's because it's stupid. If you did (just suppose) make a small court claim for the £100 voucher you haven't received, would you fill in the paperwork against MSE? Or against Sky? Just curious.
But I thought you said it has nothing to do with Sky? Make your mind up.AHHH! Thank you
Thanks accepted.Strawman argument.
A Strawman argument is a valid debating tactic. Well spotted!<joke>Ouch! I bet you think I keep telling you to take this up with them just so I can hear your dulcet tones again </joke>
HaHa. Nice one.OK - I've given my reasons. But if you disagree that's fine. I just guess Google better be careful in case someone clicks on an advertised link and buys something that is then not delivered.
That's the point really isn't it? We all feel aggrieved that we have not received what was promised. I just think that MSE should be doing more to assist.0 -
You obviously don't understand that my earlier post (the one you seem to take most grievance with - though not sure why as you keep professing to want MSE to sort it out) about it being nothing to do with Sky was with regard to the £92 voucher from Affiliate Window. Not the £100 voucher from Sky. If you can't comprehend this then I think I see where your overall issue lies.
I understand you never received this voucher and in your case it _is_ something to do with Sky. I said many times you should take this up with Sky! Or MSE if you prefer.
A strawman argument is a fallacy, generally requiring the other side to be ignorant or uninformed of the original issue in order to be successful. It's about as valid as just saying something is stupid (twice) yet offering no counter arguments! But hey - I'm glad you think they are valid debating tactics.
Take care!0 -
Domhardy - the deal as far as I can see was with Sky via MSE - it had nothing to do with Affiliate Window whom I had never heard of. I would not have entered into a contract with a company I had never heard of. If Sky chooses to get a subcontractor i.e. Affiliate Window to do their work for them, surely they - Sky - are responsible for the outcome? And MSE for promoting the deal.0
-
Hi. No prob.
Did you receive both your vouchers? The £100 and the £92 one?
Where does it say Sky have sub-contracted to Affiliate Window? Apologies but I may have missed that.
Your contract was with Sky to provide your broadband services. Affiliate Window promoted this deal with the promise of an extra £92 of vouchers. This was all detailed in the original email from MSE. And you should also have received an email from Affiliate Window?0 -
I must say I do find it odd how you seem to post stuff continuously and aggressively in favour of Sky and MSE. Is this part of your job? As it happens, I received a confirmation of order from Sky, yes but nothing nothing nothing about the vouchers from anyone. Surely if a subcontractor does the admin - e.g. marketing or sending out the vouchers - Sky is still responsible? And MSE would surely want to sort it out to protect their name too. Until they do, I am sceptical.0

in my last post how have I been favourable of sky and/or MSE?
I posted some explanations and a couple of queries, which you have not answered other than 'Surely if...' And insinuating something about it being part of my job to be aggressive in favour of sky or MSE!
Where does it say Sky have subcontracted to anyone? You claim to have never heard of Affiliate Window anyway.
I have more questions actually which may help but tbh I think you've made your mind up already so what's the point? I'm sure Richie can help you out.0 -
You seem to be a minority of one DomHardy.0

It was not an argument, simply a statement.0
