BEWARE MSE WEEKLY EMAIL BETWEEN NOW AND CHRISTMAS
There will likely be a lot of so called deals with high value vouchers advertised by MSE in its weekly email as we approach Xmas. Deals are attractive for the voucher if you are short of cash. A voucher is never a good reason to take out a deal. There are many threads on MSE with several thousand views (largely ignored by MSE), with consumer complaints about similar previous deals. Offering a voucher works as a sales technique so MSE will keep offering such deals, especially at this time of year.
MSE's website says: 'We're a journalistic website and aim to provide the best MoneySaving guides, tips, tools and techniques, but can't guarantee to be perfect, so do note you use the information at your own risk and we can't accept liability if things go wrong.'
Ofcom and the Advertising Standards Authority disagree, both say MSE is a commercial site so you have rights to complain, either to the ASA and it will investigate and can ban MSE from running similar promotions, or Trading Standards if you are out of pocket.

Hi
Signed up for this deal and broadband/phone was connected towards the end of last week. have received notification to claim reward from Sky for £100 voucher and have done so.
How do I get my remaining £92 voucher? Bit confused someone help!
Thanks0 -
I understood that the £92 voucher from Affiliate Window would be emailed automatically sometime after joining Sky, and sent to the email address you entered on that initial signup window.
It said something about matching it up to same email you use for your MySky account you set up, and that it would be sent completely separately to the Sky £100 voucher. So you don't have to claim it. I'm not 100% sure though.
However, for me, I realise today that the email address I used for sign-up will expire, as it was with my old broadband provider ... I was too eager, I should have thought about that when I signed up! So I'm not sure I will ever get the £92 voucher. I've emailed Affiliate Windows to ask if they can update my email address to my new Sky one so I get the voucher. I will just have to keep my fingers crossed.
Regarding the Sky £100 voucher, I must say I was pleasantly surprised to hear so promptly from Sky reminding me to claim the £100 voucher.0 -
What or who is the affiliate who emails you and how soon after activation is it anyone know?
Thanks0 -
Hi itamysterytome,
Do you have detail of the email address you sent your details to for the £92 voucher
It's not looking good though as the SKY one was emailed same day
Still no update from MSE though so looks like we need to fight this ourselves........

Just wondering if anyone has got the above offer. I got this through MSE but when I went to claim my £100.00, my sky account just said that £25.00 was coming to me.
I phoned sky and they said they was nothing I could do apart from get in touch with MSE, but Im not sure where to email or phone to ask about this.
Any ideas anyone????
