  • Someone wrote this: I attempted to call Whitetime to cancel before the trial period, although it was impossible to speak to anyone on the UK landline they have provided as they make it very difficult for consumers. So they took £99.99 unlawfully. I explained my story to the bank and they eventually refunded. It took multiple phone calls as I was very persistent and refused to let this drop.

ICAC Law on distance selling which came into force in June this year protects us.
    What is ICAC?
The only reference I could find was a Hong Kong organisation.

The law that came into force in mid-June was The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

That law only protects us from rogue sellers that are in the UK.

    As the Government say:
    Buying from another EU country

Contact the UK European Consumer Centre for help with problems buying from another EU country.

I've been doing some detective work this evening, and may have uncovered a clue as to the whereabouts of the elusive Piotr Kaszubsky. A journalist contact in Poland informed me that PK had left Poland and was believed to be living in England, near London.

193.com had a record and partial address for a Piotr Kaszubsky, in the age range 21-24 yrs, in West Drayton, but I wasn't prepared to pay extra cash to download full details.

However, a google search on Piotr Kaszubsky + West Drayton reveals open source company records that show a Polish male named Piotr Kaszubsky registered a company 6 mths ago at this address:

    414 Sipson Road
    Sipson Road 414
    West Drayton
    Middlesex
    UB7 0HU

I refer you to the following 3 internet sites (Sorry - as a new user, I can't post hyperlinks, so have removed the header detail):

    wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk//compdetails

    opencompany.co.uk/company/08925395/pk-customer-services-limited

    directors.findthebest.co.uk/l/9204225/Piotr-Kaszubski

Using Google's Instantstreetview.com, I took a virtual 'drive' along the A408 (Sipson Rd) and 'parked' outside the driveway of No 414 - a large detached house with a gravel driveway and silver commercial van parked outside with a foreign (polish?) numberplate. Unfortunately, no overt signs to indicate the type of business being run from the address.

Jumping out of the car and into a virtual helicopter (Google Earth) for a 360 degree aerial view of the property, reveals 2 additional vehicles in the driveway (car + van), which the van conceals from view at street level - so clearly in active use at the time the pictures were taken (dated 2014).

If this is our man, and he's working out of UK, then I think we're in a good place to bring in our own national authorities to investigate his commercial practices (police, Consumer Rights Assoc, Rogue Traders, ActionFraud etc).

Personally, I think I have enough to go on, and will be presenting all of this information to ActionFraud in the next couple of days. I would recommend as many victims of this scam as possible to do the same thing, in the same timeframe, so that Whitetime is flashing brightly on ActionFraud's radar, and is afforded priority attention.

I have posted this info in good faith. Please, please, if you're inclined to check out the address, keep it legal, keep it low key, and don't scare the prey before the lawful authorities have chance to act - please bear in mind that this may be a completely innocent party with the misfortune to share a tainted name! Also, be aware that at least one other company - possibly legit - operates from this address (Ecommerce Solutions, registered to another Polish individual)
  • I to have been scammed by these scum bags  I paid for a trial but after 2 weeks I still hadn't received it.

I rang the number and they said the payment of £99.99 had been taken out of my bank account on the 12th September. When I questioned that I only applied for the trial he's comment was that I agreed to the terms and conditions. I cancelled the subscription but because it was over 12 days I would not get a refund.

I immediately rang my bank who put me through to the banks fraud office. They put a fraud block on them so they couldn't get any further money out. They also ordered me a new card with completely different details on them just incase my details had been stored (you never know)

It seems you cant ring anyone in the customer services it's purely email only. I explained to them that £99.99 had been taken out of my account and I had not even received the item. They said it was not their responsibility but mine if it got lost in the post:mad:

So no product, £100 out of pocket and it seems about as much chance of getting my money back as the thousands of others who have been scammed to.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
I wish I could take them to court and throw the book at them...

Speak to your card issuer again.

if the goods have not been supplied, then this is a clear case for a chargeback.

Have a read of MSE's Chargeback article for more detail.

This happened to me just a week ago. They told me they were not responsible for items lost in post and it was my responsibility to track it? They offered me £15 and said take it or leave it. I informed my bank who put me through to the banks fraud department. They put a block on them to make sure no further payments came out and also changed my card incase they had kept any details. I'm contacting trading standards and against fraud (you can find their details on the web) and emailing rip of Britain and watchdog. Honestly it seems globally thousands have been stung and the chances of you seeing you money again is pretty slim. I declined my £15 as I did not want to admit liability for anything.

I think you mean Action Fraud.

Did you bother to read my post?

Thank you it's very kind of you.

I will contact my bank tomorrow.

I've never joined something like this before so I'm a newbie just fumbling around getting the hang of it.

You have given some very good advice on here I am very grateful. :D
  • I noticed today a weird charge on my account (it wasn't showing yet so I called my bank and they told me that a payment of 119 had been done with my card. I asked them to block the payment and they have cancelled my card.
I've checked my statements and I have a £1 charge in August for the trial but I also have a £99 charge on the 3rd of September I had not noticed up until now.
Funny thing is I got one pack from them but I can't say whether it was the trial one or the one for the Sep 3rd payment. Anyway, I'm going to drop by my bank and see what they can do with this.
I sent the company an email saying I don't want any further charge on my account and they have answered back within 40 minutes saying I had been unsubscribed.
I don't have very high hopes of getting back the first £100 but I really hope to be able to block the last charge.
  • The fraudsters wont stop... Same company now advertising on yahoo. Dental Pro and Spark Whitening and again they say 'you need the two' for the results. £1 free trlal that will land people in trouble! Im not aloowed to post links here as a new user. MSE wont let me post links as a new user.
