Neighbour parking overhanging driveway

I was in a similar situation a short while ago (person didn't like me parking my car 30 yards from her house) and received these kinds of threats.... difference is I drive £500 bangers - on their drive was a 3 year old BMW and a 5 year old 4x4... so if this mysterious 'vandal' was to appear and damage my car then I suspect I wouldn't be the only target in that area
;)
So careful laddo because these tactics aren't taken lying down by many to could well come back and bite op on the ar5e
Ahh bring it.0 -
I would just fill the space they use with your car.
But could you not park a couple of inches from the back of their car and get a friend to do the same at the front.
Box the beggars in and leave them boxed in for a couple of days.
If the police come you move and then do the same again the next day.0 -
Where's the vote down button? Flexing your virtual muscles on a forum is pathetic and a complete waste of everyone's time; clear off!
No its not you pillock. Its a statement of intentions and refreshingly honest. And also genuine advice of what Id do if I was in the OPs postion. However a post critquing anothers post IS pathetic and unhelpful. Therefore that poster should jog on. Thats sort of thing is needed or helpful.0 -
This is what the OP says in the first post.
My neighbour got a car in May and since she got the car she has been parking overhanging my driveway constantly making this a complete hassle for me to get out of my driveway freely and safely. Have asked her to move her car which she ignored and have been to local housing about it but they won't help at all keep saying they can't do anything and police won't do anything.
So it is merely 'overhanging' a bit anddefinitely not trapping the OP in. The OP is able to get in and out of the drive alebit with a bit of hassle. I think the OP is going over the top to be honest and making a mountain out of a molehill....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

i am the OP, and yes i can get out but i have to swing out, swing in and out, maybe three or so times before i can get out. It is a one-way street, which means its ILLEGAL to go the other way.
what happens if an emergency vehicle happens to be coming and i cant move out there way. Where i live, the police station is just around the corner.
from what you have said, seems to me that either you do this or you know who I'm talking about.0 -
where are they parking in relation to your drop kerbs?
are they way over your drive or are they just making it tight for you to get in and out0 -
sometimes they are just over but now its going way over whereby i cant get in or out, ive actually had to park outside taking up another neighbours space.0

Anothers neighbours space or another space on the road? That may be the solution. How narrow is the road that you need several shunts to get round?0 -
this is a real pain and a shame you cant get anybody to help you here
it sounds like the council caused the problem by not leaving sufficient room between the end of the disabled bay and the start of your drive but as you said they don't care
if a neighbours car was blocking me getting into or out of my drive i would be knocking on their door and asking to move it and constantly doing this hopefully they would get the message
the councils encourage people to park off street and charge a fee to drop the kerbs for you but then wont enforce inconsiderate people that block your access0
