Thank you, I'm doing my best; Ted's spark out on the sofa, and the silence is quite oppressive.:(

Re: cleaning under the pc desk: I do under Mr LW's regularly anyway, as his pc is on his Gran's old dining table - it's a really nice wooden one with barley-sugar legs.:o Mine, I fear, will have to be left, as I can't move it unaided, and I don't want Mr LW attempting that just yet. It was done not long ago though, when we got rid of the old, dead XP pc and had to move it all out to unplug all the peripherals.:o

Aaawww Bossy.. Why does she hate them? Is it because they aren't a dress? Mine don't like shorts (anything more than 1 cm above the ankle is 'shorts'), my 2 youngest boys haven't worn shorts since they were 2 or 3. My girls have full length trousers and pinafores .. the pinafores are rarely worn! I loathed having to wear a skirt to school and I'm sure my stepmother found the most hideous skirt she could to make me look stupid as well as feel uncomfortable.. I hated it so much I would get it out of the cupboard to jump up and down on it.. and I wasn't nearly 4!

Lol she hates any trousers but she will wear leggings. So far this year she has worn the pinafore dresses or checked summer dresses with either leggings or cycling shorts under (she still ends up with tights half way down her thigh lol). I though culottes looked quite skirty. She does look cute in them but the pet lip came out all wobbling and her eyes filled up :rotfl:

Bossy - re the culottes - all the 'tomboys' wear them- they are (IMO) brilliant for girls for headstands etc.

When I was little (- back in the day), my Mum used to sew a loop of elastic for a hanger inside coats - they are MUCH better than the commercial loops becuase, having a bit of 'give' they keep the coats on the pegs in busy cloakrooms.

JTTOU - 2 semicircles - shoes the right way round! GENIUS *files away for future reference as will be teaching reception PE on Fridays*

Some fab ideas. As of last winter I was attaching mitts to coats using buttons sewn inside the cuff and a short piece of that elastic they use inside kids and maternity trousers for adjustable waistbands :D I also embroidered DS initials on his gloves as they were plain black, with nowhere to write on. DD has flower buttons but DS wasn't keen :p

I've popped up to wilco and they had plastic storage drawers (4 quite deep) reduced from £15 to £10 so I've got 2. I will sort my garage out...

    Im so cold today!

I'm going to have to go back to the attic to find more paperwork in OH's piles of gibble. For the past 20 years I've managed to avoid rummaging in 'his' stuff, but needs must.

I got so bored with the frog I went back to the leftover mackerel. I've made 17 fishcakes so far and run out of spuds so I've peeled another pile of sprouting nasties and they're bubbling away. What chance I go up to the attic and the cooker beeper goes off while I'm under piles of paperwork. Hey ho.

The forecast is **** for tomorrow after all, so that's another day I can't get the other 100% yellow superking duvet cover and other sundry pale washing done. I hate seeing the pile.
    Better is good enough.

I seem to work better when I can chop and change between lists. I have swapped days around if I have completed one. Going to have some lunch and then see if I can do anything else before I go to work.

    Tuesday - All bathrooms

Wash all bath mats One set left to wash

    Wednesday - Utility room
    [STRIKE]
    Sort under sink cupboard[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Sort out old cleaning rags[/STRIKE]

    Thursday - 2nd bedroom

Tidy inside wardrobe, ditch clutter, rehome if necessary and organise better
    Change bedding

    Friday - kitchen

[STRIKE]Make a food inventory of anything that needs using up[/STRIKE] It probably would have been easier if I had wiped as I went but I only have 1 drawer and 1 cupboard left to sort so it will be a lot quicker when I come to do it anyway
    Menu plan from inventory
Wipe inside all kitchen cupboards, drawers and fridge
    Tidy and organise larder cupboard

    Monday - Music room

    Tidy music
Sort out a better filing system
    Wipe all shelves

    Tuesday - 3rd bedroom

    Sort wardrobe and drawers
    Make bed

    Wednesday - 4th bedroom

    Sort games
    Sort wardrobe

    Thursday - Living room

    Sort chest
    Sort table
    Tidy corner

    Friday - Filing

Sort through and shred anything not needed
Make sure everything is clearly labelled
Make a list of everyone to call to ensure Mr AJM can speak to any customer services while I am away
Archive any older paperwork (I need to check now long to keep all documents for)
    MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Erm...what is the best solution for daily bathroom cleaning/limescale prevention, i've heard of using lemon, bicarb & vinegar but i'm never sure how much or how to apply ect. I've cleaned my bathroom, buttt....cause I don't do it very often (hangs head) & the water here is as hard as - rock, I do have a limescale build up (hangs head lower still) thanks Merry

merrylegs1 I wet some kitchen roll with vinegar and wrap it around the limescale on the tap: same for limescale build up on basin just leave vineagr on it, usually overnight. For loos I either use vinegar or cheap cola, again overnight.

This morning was dentist then a snack in a cafe with DH while waiting for DS2. It might be the last treat of the month unless I sell more on ebay.
