Pull out the pc desk and clean BEHIND AND UNDER it!!!!!!

Ooh Natty, you are mean! :p:D

I am a woman on a decluttering mission. Because of this thread, everywhere is tidy with everything having a place and (mostly) everything in that place. In recent times I have looked at the '32 fling boogie' items and said ' I don't have 32 things to get rid of'!

However, we have started to seriously think about downsizing (possibly to a bungalow) when the big two leave for Uni. We are a bit young for it but my mobility isn't always good. We will almost certainly move to another small town closer to work that has MUCH better schools than here for DS2.

All of which is a very long pre-amble to me wanting to get rid of 'stuff'. I'm trying hard to stop buying any more and am trying to get rid of stuff that I already have. I am by no means a hoarder but with 3 young ones, stuff does accumulate.

I spent yesterday sorting the work paperwork that is here (we have to store all the archives because of mice:eek:) and the shredder is very busy. I did my old receipts and paperwork whilst I was about it. (Spurred on a little by Pigpen to be ruthless)

Any tips that you have to help would be greatly appreciated. Ta muchly.

DW emptied. Haven't done a washload because there's not enough in the basket! First time in WEEKS...

I haven't been able to clear mine for WEEKS! It's rained and rained and rained. And it's still raining today. Humph.

Hope you slept better last night, Dusty.

What?! Do you mean I have to clean the pigeon pooh off the carpet and 4 gang sockety thing from when one got in here a few weeks ago. Seriously? You're just cruel, Natty. *shudder*

  • Honeybear - I too have been nibbling my frog whilst trying to find the "safe" place I put my log ins - insert appropriate swear word - that you need a different one for everything!!!! Huge bag of paper going towards the shredder as we speak - but still not found them!
Have mopped kitchen floor and texted ndns who are off on hols.

I am struggling a little with motivation today. Rather than concentrate on one room I feel like chopping and changing so thought I would post the list I have made for the whole 2 weeks and work from that. I have got some washing to hang up and then I will try and do a half hour session. Hopefully that will spur me on to do more!

    Tuesday - All bathrooms

Wash all bath mats One set left to wash

    Wednesday - Filing

Sort through and shred anything not needed
Make sure everything is clearly labelled
Make a list of everyone to call to ensure Mr AJM can speak to any customer services while I am away
Archive any older paperwork (I need to check now long to keep all documents for)

    Thursday - 2nd bedroom

Tidy inside wardrobe, ditch clutter, rehome if necessary and organise better
    Change bedding

    Friday - kitchen

Make a food inventory of anything that needs using up
    Menu plan from inventory
Wipe inside all kitchen cupboards, drawers and fridge
    Tidy and organise larder cupboard

    Monday - Music room

    Tidy music
Sort out a better filing system
    Wipe all shelves

    Tuesday - 3rd bedroom

    Sort wardrobe and drawers
    Make bed

    Wednesday - 4th bedroom

    Sort games
    Sort wardrobe

    Thursday - Living room

    Sort chest
    Sort table
    Tidy corner

    Friday - Utility room
