  • A lovely vomiting bug doing the rounds here, DS2 took it last night and didn't make it to the toilet at all and now DD feels unwell.

So this morning has resulted in plenty of cleaning. Kitchen done, livingroom nearly done (just to dust), my bedroom done and bathroom done, 5 loads washing done. DD done her bedroom and I gave bathroom a quick tidy (will do it properly tomorrow). Also gave BBQ a good clean as it's to be used for charity event tonight.

Will go and get basin ready encase DD needs it tonight. Will bring in washing of the line too before I forget. DS1 away to football and once he's collected it will be bedtime. I love a nice clean fresh bed lol

    :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T Well I have eaten a large frog:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:

All of the 'dead' paperwork I generated when I sorted the filing cabinet is now shredded!! It's hard to do when OH has the BD on him but he had a friend round to board game today so I made the most of him being occupied and did it!!!

i have also filled in my passport application at last, need to in October, must just get the photo validated and then send it off :rotfl:
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

In about 12 hours, we're off to see a puppy! We think we're decided on a golden retriever and labrador cross. We have ordered the crate for it and may well be bringing it home tomorrow  :).
I really must drag the Hoover around upstairs when I get home from work and I think I will change the beds so I can wash them at my leisure on Friday.

 Just popping in to say hello to everyone and good luck to all Flykids collecting GCSE results today

    Well done msgnomey :T :T :T

    GWS Vanilla and family

    Happy frog munching, Valli!

Hope your paws are less painful today, LW.

    2childmum, I feel your frustration!

We were all very tired last night after a good day out. Today will be more local and gentler in nature, coming home for lunch between two short trips out, bearing in mind that OH and I have a minimum of 5.5 hours of driving tomorrow and a 250-mile round trip to take his cousin and her OH home. Yesterday it turned out that they thought they were only staying with us for 2 nights and going home today, although we were expecting them to stop for 3 nights, but they have decided to stay over until Friday. We must be careful not to miss the M50 exit at Strensham this time - last time we visited them we had to go all the way down to Bristol and the M4 with its toll bridge: not very :money: and there are lots of roadworks on the M5 :(

Flying today will consist of plumping up the cushions, WMx1, preparing veg and Yorkshire puds for tonight's meal and keeping the kitchen sparkling. I think I will make some soup for lunch, to go with bacon sandwich - the weather looks a bit iffy, despite a beautiful sunrise earlier.

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all in need x

    Morning all.

Happy puppy day Kaz! How exciting.
Good luck to all those collecting their results today.

I allowed myself a lie in this morning as I'm pleased with what I've achieved this week from the lists. Good job as well as I've a house full of people this BH weekend.

So this morning, hoover mattress, change bedding, hoover floor in bedroom, gym, and bath before the paid stuff. May hoover through if I've time. Not sure if I'll get out with the dogs just yet as it is raining.

    Have a great day everyone.
