Invited to wedding but without baby - help!

Time to finally update you all on this. Well we went, with my mum looking after the little one all day and into the evening.

It worked out ok in the end although my partner found it very hard as it's the longest she'd been without seeing our baby!

We left the house around midday and stayed into the evening, getting home just after 10pm via taxi.

My mum managed to get him to sleep at 8pm, I think probably through sheer exhaustion as she'd taken him out on a couple of trips during the day, and he was asleep literally until we got home and walked upstairs. He must have a 6th sense!

It was nice to get out and do something 'adult' together and I think it was a good thing for my partner who's spent every day with him. I'm used to it as I am working full time, but it certainly helped her.

The couple did apologise about not inviting him but I didn't expect them to, we knew they had lots of family and were limited on numbers.

She's back at work (shift work as a nurse) soon so that'll be the next test!
