Don't let them upset you Rory. Some people on here just love to find a reason to insult other posters - I think they missed the bit about being nice to all moneysavers!

While I agree it's preferable to always be nice, I suspect you'd be a bit of a hypocrite if you claimed you always were - even when talking to someone is akin to talking to a brick wall as they refuse to listen to you and instead choose to keep making false accusations.

I'm very glad that they ended up having a good flight, but if you act in an ignorant manner then you bring on accusations of ignorance yourself. Hopefully those who made the "insults" (I don't agree that's what they were) will be able to clarify that they were referring to the way in which they handled this specific matter - and didn't judge the entire person on this one incident.

As has been said from the very beginning, it is a fact that you are told about baggage fees before purchase (though the OP seemed to know Ryanair had baggage fees and just didn't bother to look at what they were before buying the flight...). You can whinge about how unfair it is all you like, but it's also a fact that huge numbers of people prefer it that way - otherwise the budget carriers would have never taken off, let alone dominate the market as they now do.

If anyone in the future doesn't wish to be treated in such a manner, I suggest they get their facts straight BEFORE posting a rant. Particularly one that can be proven wrong with such ease. And certainly don't continue the pretence of being in the right when literally everyone is saying you aren't. We can't all be as perfect as zaksmum, if you continually spout nonsense then the responses you receive to it are only going to increase in severity as you irritate everyone more and more!

Is somebody who wasted £160 on hold luggage with Ryanair a moneysaver?

If they needed to take the luggage, or its their preference that they take the luggage then what's the problem?

If the overall price including the luggage was cheapest with Ryanair then yes they are still a moneysaver!

the OP hasn't told us the answer to any of those three questions.
