Good Morning All
Ive been awake since 5.50am, tossed n turned from then on!
Today is the day, my brother leaves the UK for Florida. He's at the airport now. Im so upset I didnt give him a hug goodbye, as promised. Due to my slight illness yesterday after work, it knocked me for sick, that I was too weak to go & see him! I wish him every success, and for him to enjoy life!
Anyway, enough of my weeping again, Im still not feeling 100% right. Will make it to work, and see how I feel from there.
(((hugs to Pink & Tim)))
grannybroon - hope you feel better soon
dlb - do you have to use a code or anything when ringing tesco up for the points ref insurance?
Anyway, best be off
Have a great day all
Take care

Morning all
Looks like it's going to be a lovely day here. Fingers crossed.
However, I'm off to work (swapping friday for today)
Also need to blitz the house. Mum is coming on thurs. So things have to be nice (She's gonna let DH and I go to see Harry Potter while she babysits, so the housework will be worthwhile.) I'm sure I only cleaned the house from top to bottom last week. But here we are again! :rolleyes2
Need to defrost Sausage and Pepper Goulash for dinner. It's DHs birthday so we'll also have Champers and Chocolate Cake (Afraid it's not HM choccie cake. Waitrose had their little chocolate sponges down to 99p - so that's what he's getting.)
DD demonstrated her true girlieness yesterday - I took her into Monsoon to see the sale stuff since she needs a posh dress (well, poshish, I refuse to buy 2 year olds things they can only wear to fancy do's. I always have my eye on the "pence per wear" equation). I wanted to hold a dress up to her cos the 2-3 looked HUGE. Next thing I know she's stripped off and is trying things on on the shop floor and checking to see if I thought she looked "lovely". She did. Oh my, have I created a monster?
Right - must go. Take care all
Pink - that arm must've been quite harrowing. I've been thinking about France Camping for a while. Don't really know how to find out about it tho. And I'm always put off camping cos I wear contacts, and don't want to have to wander blindly about a strange place (wimp, I know)
Jackie ((((hugs)))):grouphug:
Take care all
Queenie - just caught up on yesterday's thread. Good on you for having a rant. Hope you feel better. I know we talk about housework, cooking etc here. But that's what we're about here. There's a lot more below the surface of my posts. (Oh my, a lot more) Live your life as best you can, and don't beat yourself up. Have a bad day and move on! (If only I could do this myself!!!) Think of the bigger picture, not just one day/month/year - you're a great mum/friend/person."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Donna - I rang up but their quote wasn't competitive so told them so, checked on the points said I would get them asked if they wanted my card number, and said they would do it via address
- Did you give yours?
GR - are you cats veggie? Just one of those strange thoughts which just crossed my mind:o . Can cats be veggie? I know dogs can as DH's cousin had to put her dog on a biscuit and carrot diet when it got overweight, it got to like carrots that much it used to pinch them from the veg rack. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I found some nice "designer" jeans in TK Maxx a couple of weeks ago, to fit, bought 4 pair £14.99 a pair. As you don't find them often its grab them when you do.
Jackie0 - isn't that what retail therapy is all about!

Good morning everybody :hello:
Welcome back Pink Winged - glad you had a good holiday and I hope poor Tim's arm is soon on the mend
That reminds me - how is Lorenzo ? is he still wrapped in cotton wool
(((HUGS))) Grannyboon for today
Welcome back Newster
(((HUGS))) JackioO - well done on getting through yesterday
Hope you have a better day today Queenie
Well we have blue skies here so I have put 1 load on the washing line already.
DD is just off to catch the bus to school - she said it sailed straight past her and 4 others yesterday so they had to catch a different bus to the nearest village and then walk to school - didnt get to school till 09.30. I asked her why she didnt just come back home and get a lift but I think she was embarassed with her school friends as she left me in my dressing gown chatting on here
I dont have a car today so I will be getting on my bike later and popping over to the post office. I have sold 2 books in the last week on Green Metropolis :T they have been listed for ages and I have just started the new Olympic challenge on DFW so every little helps.
Breakfast is muller light with oat crunchies, lunch is a slimfast bar and dinner is going to be roast chicken ( from yesterday ) with veggies.
DD is going to watch a show at school tonight so my Mum is coming over to pick her up and drop her back off.
I am going to get a bit of paperwork done today so probably wont get much housework done but Im sure it will all still be here tomorrow waiting to be done.
Have a lovely day everybody :hello::cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
well lo is fast asleep, i am shattered and its only 8 o clock ish:rolleyes: lo is fine now with his arm, still being careful with it but all seems well, no cotton wool needed:rotfl:

Good morning everyone,
Welcome back Pink, glad you had a lovely holiday, and hope Tims arm is feeling better now he is back home!!!
Queenie - hope today is a better day xx
Havnt read much of todays thread, so hope all is ok with everyone.
Have 2 LOs here today, although one is at nursery this morning - so will have lots of fun with the baby this morning. Do ned to do some cleaning, but not sure how much i will get done. All my old flylady routines are straight out the window now i have the LO - takes up a lot more of my time, but i dont mind, building things and knocking them down are a lot more fun than cleaning!!!
Not sure if DS has football tonight, his coach hasnt rung to let us know, im in 2 minds whether i want it on or not. If its not, they might rearange for Saturday, and apart from my mum coming down that day til Sunday, the new Harry Potter will be here, and all i will want to do is sit and read it!!!! Im now reading the last one, so that its all fresh in my memory reading for Sat morning - getting really excited about it now (i know thats sad, but i dont have much else to get excited about).
Anyway, better get going, and get these children to school/playschool - then home for some breakfast and a play!!!
Have a lovley day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good morning all!
Pink - hope DS is ok. He will probably have fond memories of that holiday in years to come - it was exactly 30 years ago that I spent a whole day in Barnstaple hospital on holiday having my leg put in plaster. Some of the memories from that holiday are priceless!
JackieO - Keep on with that sense of humour! Hope all goes well with the next round of the proceedings/
Well, it's sunny at the mo, so will be off in a minute to hang out the washing. I got 4 lots washed & dried yesterday, and have really caught up after our holiday.
This morning I am taking my niece to a health centre for some sort of scan. Would you believe it is in a tiny village in the north of the county - no trains, and I hate to think how many buses you would need. DN doesn't drive & has a small baby - how do they expect people to get to these places????? Grrrrrr!!!! (rant over)
DS is doing his Saturday job today, so that's him sorted out! (yes, I know it's Tuesday, but we were coming home from holiday on Saturday...)
Have a good day!0 -

Hugs :grouphug: Emma, it must be really hard for you, but look on the bright side - all those cheap holidays to Florida. Plus with Matin's advice you can get free calls to the USA, so he won't be far away at all.
Hope you soon feel more positive xxxYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever
