Good Morning all
Rain is forcast here, but we have blue sky at the moment.
Work is frantic, only 4 days left & I have enough work left to last me 3 weeks.
I have a sore eye this morning, I was putting newsletters in envelopes & stuck one of the envelopes in my eye!!!
I was told it would take me an hour to do 1500, so I was rushing, I've since been told 300 an hour is more like it.
I have nothing finishing on ebay for 3 days, I really must remember to pace myself, I have a bad habit of listing 20 items on one day & then they all finish togather & all need posting off.
I'm setting off for work now, hope everyone has a great day.
Hugs Hester

Hi everyone.
Arrived back from America on Sunday. Feel sleepy still though. I didn't sleep on the plane, too much going on lol. While I was away Dh and children decorated the hall way, stairs and upstairs passage, and bathroom. DH managed to get some carpet for the stairs for a tenner!!!!!!! It's a nice one as well :-) Shopping was left to Dh and 19yr old daughter for 2 weeks. My cupboards look very interesting lol. Spent yesterday making a start on menu planning for next week, and for when we go camping as I have a big Asda shop this Saturday.
Everyone have a blessed and prosperous day.0 -
 :rotfl: Morning Chums , well the sun is shing at the moment ,but I wouldn't bank on it staying around. I had a good week-end at my sis-in-laws in Bromley. She is home from Dubai and was jolly glad to see the rain it was 44c+ with 85% humidity when she was out there for 7 weeks .She said it was almost unbearable, and she doesn't think her blood has cooled down yet.We had a nice time just jawing away and putting the world to rights for a few days .She is a sweetie, she is going to come to stay when I come out of hospital for a little while to help look after me a bit.
Yesterday after I got home the 'sparks' came to disconnect the elctrics in my old conservatory.I am having it pulled down and a new one erected and it should be fineshed just before I go into hospital. My sos-in-law says he will do the floor for me whilst I am in there so I will have it all finished for when I come out
Last night I had to go for a CT at 5.30 and when I got there I thought it would just be an ordinary X-ray butit was a bit more involved. The radiographer advanced towards me with a large needle  and asked which arem I would like him to put it in .He wasn't amused when I suggested his own ,some folk have no sense of humour:rotfl: Going through this tunnel like machine was a bit claustrophobic and a disembodied voice telling me that as the tracer fluid started to flow I would have a metal tase in my mouth and feel like I was passing water:eek: It must have been a man who invented these blurry machines .One loses all of ones dignity laying there in ones knickers and trainers talking to a blooming machine. Good job I can see the funny side of things :rotfl: well survived their machine and after a sit down and a large glass of water -no gin though- what is our health services coming to:rotfl: :rotfl: I was allowed hom . Roll on next Monday when I have a two hour session to see if I am healthy enough to go into hospital with a pre-op investigation.
Thats going to be so much fun I can hardly wait , Ah well its all part of the learning curve I guess.
Today my pal who I went to America with is coming down to see me from Dartford .We are going to the Dockyard outlet to do some retail therapy, i.e.spend some cash on something daft:j We are then going to have lunch out and spend the afternoon at my craft class making some birthday cards.
She is off to the U.S. again tomorrow with her husband .He is an aircraft freak and they are going to an airshow at a place called Oshkosh,Wisconsin.Apparently its his lifes ambition to go there as its the biggest one in the world for aeroplanes. What ever floats his boat I guess.
Tomorrow I have one of my grandsons Ben's school leaving concert to go to in the morning I am looking forward to that .He starts at his senior school in Sepember.
Well I hope everyone will have a good day today and that the sun shines long enough to get your washing dried <<<hugs>>> to those in need and great big smiles for the rest of you.I'm off to eat my tea and toast and take my vitimins I have a small cold so I have got to get rid of it quickly
Cheers folks :beer:0 -
Aw, Pink. I'm sorry to hear about your son's arm. That sounds painful. I'm glad it didn't spoil the holiday too much.
Granny, I hope you feel better soon.
Jackie, you're an inspiration. x
Well, I am having critter problems. One of the cats got fleas because I wasn't able to catch her to frontline her so I've been bitten (fortunately no-one else has) then a little girl my sons were playing with the other day called to say she has nits so I have to do a thorough check of heads! (I managed to catch the cat finally. Will give the house a good spray too on Saturday before we go away for the weekend.) The cats are 8/9 years old and this is the first time this has happened. I'm not impressed!
I need to menu plan, get the groceries, have a trip to a warehouse to stock up on bulk items like lentils and I want to do some batch cooking and baking. I also need to get a few clothes for all of us. I only have 2 pairs of trousers that fit and I'm not getting any slimmer so I'm having to bite the bullet and accept that I'm going to be a size 18 for a while longer and buy another pair. (The baby keeps making sure I can't wear them any longer than a day at a time and they're not drying quickly enough in all this rain!
If I get a chance, I'd also like to sort out some photos. We've got some nice ones from holiday I'd like to get printed off and sent to relatives.
Have a good day everyone. xMay all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -

Good morning all :j
It's frantic here - DD is off to Alton Towers, and DS to Flamingoland, for school *Reward Trips*. They're not at all organised, so I'm running around like a mad thing finding things for them.
Off to w*** once I've sorted DS out, and he's left.
DD has a school presentation evening tomorrow - she's won a music award for singing.
Pink - great to see you back. Hope DS mends soon.
That's the door - DD's friends to collect her.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Good morning everyone
Pink (((hugs))) to you and Tim. Glad you had a good holiday though.
n9eav loved the goldfish/carrot story.
gb take care of yourself. Hope the pain goes soon.
HHester I have given myself many a paper cut on my tongue or lip when licking envelopes but I've never managed to poke myself in the eye with one.
Hope your eye feels better soon.
JackieO you really are an inspiration - you are coping so well with everything. BTW, is Oshkosh where they make the Oshkosh Begosh clothing?? Just wondered.
Queenie we all have our off days. I hope yesterday was a one-off for you and you don't have another for a long time. ((hugs))
W**k today then home to get some housework done before I do the school run. The joiner came last night and gave me a date for when he can come and do all the jobs I need doing. :j :j Just need to make sure that I DO NOT touch the money that I have put aside to pay him.
Made a huge lasagne yesterday so have enough left over for dinner tonight. I also have leftover mince that I will use in a cottage pie for tomorrow. Wow, can't remember when I have ever had three nights' meals all planned together. This site must be getting to me.
Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Bore Da!
Lovely to hear from you, JackieO, still praying for you.
Hugs to all!
Well, I am sitting here wearing 'proper clothes' and feeling sicker than I have for a long time. But, there is no point in asking for a note from my mother: I MUST go to S****l.
I suppose I would feel better about going back if any of the people I have worked with for the past XX years had bothered to send a card or pick up the phone over the last 5 weeks. Thank goodness it is almost the end of term.
I shall find out in my classroom computer can reach MSE today!
Will post back later to find out about the 'real' world!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
