Fed up with Morrisons
Comments
-
OK Some 6 weeks after my initial email to Morrisons CS and the MD - I received a reply - offering me a £10 voucher, if I was willing to provide my home address - which I didn't particularly want to do !!
We visited another Morrisons on Monday - about 20 miles down the road and found things even worse
We queued for a good 10 minutes behind a woman who got the assistant talking and even when her shopping was packed away - she was talking for 5 minutes
Then, when eventually our items were scanned - there was a problem with one item - the assistant lit her light (NO NOISY ALARM - Just a light) - down the row of tills - the (single) supervisor, clearly saw the light and wandered off in the other direction, eventually sauntering up to our till and resetting the till - So our 5 minute shop, took 25 minutes.....
THAT IS IT - MORRISONS ARE APPALLING !!0 -
Yesterday - for the first time in 3 months, I decided to give morrisons one more chance - I needed a bottle of lemonade - but the queues were absolutely stupid - going way up the aisles - with only 1/4 of the tills open and staff standing around chattering - absolutely disgusting0

From my (limited and a long time ago) experience, making a general call for till trained staff, to run to the front, then away to the back, doesn't seem that efficient - the idea of radioing the supervisor of the relevant section to send someone with the item - much more sensible.
I used to work shifts in dairy and on tills for s*merfields - before the coop buyout - and when i was on tills we either had to suggest the customer went themselves, or if it was quiet, run ourselves.
Oh, and I have to agree - if your OH didn't take her breaks - more fool her. I admire the dedication to work/ customers, but supermarkets are awful for taking advantage of staff good will. she really should make the time for her breaks. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
House Bought July 2020 - 19 years 0 months remaining on term
Next Step: Bathroom renovation booked for January 2021
Goal: Keep the bigger picture in mind...0 -

No, you didn't. You worked for Somerfield. The big sign above the door gives the game away.0 -
Is it only our local Morrisons or do others treat customers the same ?
Then there's queues at checkouts - Sainsbury's, Tescos and Asda open checkouts if queues form - but not our Morrisons
I have to say that I find buying fuel at my nearest Morrisons is a right pain and I now just avoid it altogether.
There are 2 serving tills but there always seems to be one of the staff replenishing the choc bars and the like in the shop, seemingly oblivious to the fact that there can be a dozen people waiting in a queue almost outside of the door to pay for their fuel.
I've noticed this at other Morrisons too but rarely, if ever, at Tesco, Sainsburys etc.0 -
OMG, actually went into a Morrisons tonight and it was terrible.
Went to buy fags and the woman in the kiosk completely ignored me whilst reading some bits of paper so decided to buy what I needed and return.
Got what I wanted and the self scanner got the prices of the goods wrong, overcharging, waited ages for it to be seen to, then it happened again, had to wait for the assistant again...
Finally got to the kiosk and the woman again just ignored me so I just said can you serve me please which she finally did.
What is it with Morrisons? Their staff are by far the worst of any supermarket.0 -

Whats with the self-checkouts showing the full price and then the discount for every discounted item ??
Is it so we don't notice the pricing errors that you always seem to get.0
