I've never liked Morrisons. One has just opened up near us and Oh is desperate to go but I don't like them as much as I do Tesco - plus we get a lot out of the Clubcard points.

I always find Morrisons is poorly laid out so you end up whizzing back through the centre of the store because you didn't realise that the coffee whitener would not be near the coffee, but near the bread......

Think there ingenious idea to create habits by offering virtually £5-10 vouchers & create regular customers is quiet good,as we've got produce that usually out of reach, Personally cant stand tesco's ,hate there stores brand image ,all intursive philosophy ,an eye sore really

Went after work tonight, no basket checkouts open as usual and the self checkout queue was going to the other end of the frozen aisle. Tannoyed for more staff but none arrived as usual.

I started to cut back on visiting Morrisons after I asked for cashback and I forgot to take it, the cashier either forgot to give it to me or held it back but when I called the store as I was not close by, they refused to look into it for me. I had no evidence the cashback had not been taken but refused to look back on their CCTV systems and said they wouldn't honour the cashback if I went back into the store.

If that isn't poor customer service then I don't know what is.
they effectively stolen your money, you informed them and they decided to keep money that wasn't legally theirs, a bit like cases when people have money paid into their account and they have to give it back...
I've done it once many years ago, can't even remember what store it was, phone them up, they said they'd check at the end of the day and I got my money back, no fuss.
These supermarkets monitor their money, otherwise any cashier could just help themselves, so at the end of the day they would know perfectly well if they have an extra £10, but they seem they choose to keep it...

One thing we dont like about morrisions is they made the yellow sticker section virtually usless to visit , 10 -15 redution on smelly fish or meat that is on its last use by date is disgusting ; found morrisions first to do this about 5 years ago & now all the supermarkets do it ; whereas one time it was possible to fin food 60, even 80% off with a few days freshness. Its pointless visiting this area anymore.

i wont set foot in morrisons ever again, twice i have had problems with so called vegetarian products containing visible signs on meat contamination. i am veggie due to allergies to meat products. the first time was a veggie chilli that was clearly a mince chilli in the wrong cardboard sleeve (may have been changed by a member of the public apparently) the 2nd time was a instore veggie pizza that on cutting clearly had visable chopped ham under the melted cheese layer. thankfully both incidences were discovered before eating, but each time i had to fight for a refund (in the case of the pizza, "but it's been cooked"). both time i was told i was wrong and eventually got assurances that the goods would be sent for analysis and investigations as to whether the products contained meat (to prove i was mistaken) - each time the products were 'lost in transit'.

ok so all supermarkets have crap customer services!! but i have never come across cross contamination of this type at any other supermarket - and trust me even if it was not so visable i would have been ill enough to notice something was not right.
Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"

I was at CS desk in Sains the other day and the cust next to me had a similar problem with a product not as it should have been / labelled and had to have a refund, so guess M's is not alone there.

Morries are bad for filling gaps with higher priced goods and has been going on for ages. I'm more careful now, but have had to visit CS a few times for refunds!!
It must be company policy (and wrong) and no doubt it works for them.

I don't shop at my local one any more because of this practice.

I feel another company going to be in trouble soon, they had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century and started offering home delivery when it's was clear that they didn't have a choice if they wanted to survive, they obviously don't have a clue what customers want.
If they carry on like that they are doomed.

They don't seem to have very good discipline of their staff, they always have to do multiple calls to get them to go to checkouts at the start of their shifts.

When I worked at Sainsburys we would get a rollocking if we were late getting to the checkouts to start our shifts.

They never open the basket checkouts now either, expecting you to either queue up behind people doing their big shop or use the 1 self checkout that hasn't managed to self destruct yet that day.

My friend works for Sainsburys. The reason why the basket till is not always open as it runs out of money! Used by elderly customers who always give the cashier £20 note for a few items costing a few quid, even though they have £10 in change. One day, a customer handed my friend a £20 note for shopping costing £4.01.

    Friend:Do you have a penny or 2p?'
Customer with a purse full of change and loads of coppers that friend could see 'No'

With customers too lazy to get a penny out instead of getting 2 notes and a coin, she ends up with a note and a bucket of change.

All the tills are filled with the same money each day and not allowed to change money in the day. At Christmas, there are a few bags of coins in each till.
