Boys using ladies loos

My son is also taking more than 2 years to learn to swim! He's uncoordinated. He can swim lengths in his 'own' style and he is great underwater, but his techniques aren't enough to pass stage 4. Other kids are passing much faster, even the ones who never get taken swimming outside of lesson times.
He still loves going and I am seeing progress, it's just slow. His stamina and number of lengths he can swim front, back and underwater are improving every time I take him swimming, and we practise breast and butterfly. He'll get there - as long as he still loves it I'll still take him
He's not the only 9 year old in stage 4, but it's been almost 18 months. I used to be an axolotl0 -

Does your pool offer one to one sessions during school holidays? Ours does, and it's an intensive course so you book half an hour per day every day for a week. That would be cheaper than committing to individual lessons for a term.
Our classes have a maximum of ten children - any more than that would be awful, they'd get hardly any practise!I used to be an axolotl0 -
I went to the cinema on Tuesday and needed the toilet. Went into the ladies and there were women with little boys in there. No one battered an eye lid.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

My son is 9 and very tall for his age. He's also autistic so wont go to the toilet on his own.
I always have to take him in with me in the ladies. People are always very unimpressed because
to look at him you wouldnt know there is a problem.0
